I enjoyed the film...the story is good but tbh I enjoyed others I saw more. There were some who were with me also found it er, so-so. Only the final battle “saved” it for them. But there some issues that kinda bother me, which I’ll let others discuss about.
No problem with somebody not liking it. Just his statement that nobody in person actually likes it is a little unconvincing.
Thing abt danvers is...shes what steve was supposed to be - a weapon u can point something at. Its not shes dumb, but her sense of perseverence if even amped up more than steve (whos driven by righteousness where danvers is more bout the self) and her characterization has been consistent, shes blunt and aporoaches think very directly. (Also its an avengers movie n theyre ok with stealing scenes, not the whole damn show) Spoiler and it was pointed out to me that thanos used the tesseract stone to repel her, pretty smart writing that you’d miss if u blink
Man i was wondering why he did that in uh, his homeland (which i thought was unnecesary at the time) but man when the reason for that came out was the biggest OH SHIT moment for me. Also, they totally didnt return it in the last scene so his homeland is fucked lol
I thought that as well. The scene that followed, though, was pure awesome. That scene alone made this movie worth the price of admission. When I left the theater, I was confused if that uh... item made it back to its original timeframe. I didn't notice it going back either. One of the people I went with told me that it did indeed go back with him. Oh, and after speaking with my brother a bit more on this particular movie, I can see his reasoning behind not liking it - Those reasons pretty much lining up with Red Goblin's opinion of the flick, funnily enough. Update: Wow! I am really surprised by how many people I'm talking to that have seen the movie and have said they did not like it. I did not expect this flick to be as divisive as it is among my peer group. I know, I know, it's an extremely subjective metric to judge the overall quality of this flick based on the reviews of only 5 people. Still, I am seriously surprised by the people telling me they didn't like this one. Ah well.
Honestly, that's probably why some people are having a hard time grasping it. People come up with there own theories, and make them by looking up on source material from the comics and TV shows, post it on the internet and pretty much call it law, as if this particular thing HAS to happen. Honestly? It's what killed TLJ, some just can't process it and go into a fit of rage, heck, just scroll back a few pages and you will see people already doing it to this film. Many just can't come to terms with something completely new and different happening. I have read some of the spoilers, but i already know i'm going to love this film, and cry like a child who just lost his favorite toy. Will be interesting to see what the MCU does differently over the next couple of years.
Read my reply above, it's literally what i've just been saying lol People don't like change, and Endgame, while taking influence from the comics, is it's own unique story. People don't like it when they think they have figured it out, for it all to come crashing down.
Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous how all the male Avengers trip over their testicles while fighting Thanos and then Captain Marvel decapitates him with her pinky. They’re really pushing their agenda with this one! Save that crap for Reddit, man.
The problem with this forum is that that’s legitimately how some people react. Despite, of course, Spoiler the fact that Captain Marvel was defeated by Thanos and Scarlet Witch is actually the only Avenger that overpowered him. But Wanda doesn’t have the same vitriol from certain groups of people that Carol does.
Came out of the movie as satisfied as I could be. Other than a few incredibly minor quibbles, this was a great end to a wonderful ten year story arc. Side note, Spoiler considering how the story played out, how are they gonna make a Black Widow movie?
I had a big Icee, and I was fine. This is the first movie that almost had me choke up in tears. I was so damn close. Seriously, I got out from my showing about 30 minutes ago, and I’m still fucking sad as shit.
