I've been looking at the backside of my TE01, it seems very likely a jetpack could slot nicely onto the backside and plug into a few places back there easily. In addition, the same system could be used to do a Starscream wing add on like the Hot Toys G1 Prime they did awhile back.

The Golden Age of FT! Unfortunately the magic is not there anymore. They certainly will always be remembered for really starting the 3P MP business, for the best overall MP Dinobots set and for proving that official does not always mean better. Hopefully there will be releases like the Dibots, Phoenix or Sovereign again in the future. - TE need more than one home run, but their first release is so good, I believe they can make it to the top.

    Got mine today.
    What a great looking figure.

They say my head turns weird.
    What about Megs?
    IMG_3844.JPG

And ofcourse some complains since it didn't come out of the box all 100%.
    Got some scratches here.
    IMG_3840.JPG

Axe came out of the box with stress marks.
    IMG_3841.JPG

    Bought it from ShowZ.
Don't know if they will replace the axe. I don't like stress marks.
    Haven't used the axe.
    Also haven't transformed him yet.
I'll do the transformation soon and hope i don't find other strange things.

All in all i'm very happy with this prime.

Now if they make some upgrades head and matrix with light, i'm buying it for this guy.
    Maybe include light up axe.

I really like this side-by-side pic. I thought people were saying that TE Optimus was taller than Megatron but here Optimus actually looks a hair shorter.

    Thanks.
I think the size is very accurate.

As you guys also all have his manual.
    It says Deformation.
As far as i know, Weijiang makes Deformation series.
    So TE is actually Weijiang?
If it's really so, then way the go Weijiang!
You've done a great job, thank you!
Now it's time to update a new Starscream, Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus first.
Or put the new MP Bumblebee to shame as this put MP-44 to shame.
    Then some other figures.

Hard to say. The term "Deformation" seems to have caught on as a replacement for "transformation" in quite a few 3rd party and KO companies recently.

Although, if I recall correctly, there were previous rumors of TE being affiliated with WJ.

Hmm. I wouldn't look too deeply into the use of the term "deformation." Many 3P companies use that in place of "transformation." Probably because the word resembles and sounds a lot like "transformation," and the actual meaning of the word is probably close enough to "transformation" when, say, a non-native English speaker puts "deformation" into a translation engine.

I wouldn't put much stock in that. I have seen "deformation" used in regards to Transformers in general from all manner of Asian companies, as well as being applied to any robot figure that can alter its shape(Bandai Super Sentai/Power Ranger figures/products).

I agree. TE needs another big named character out the gate this 2nd time to really get a foothold on the market. I'd even say 3 new releases to solidify it's consumer base. So between your list, and I'll add a couple more...
Megatron or an MP36 esque TE01 similar in style MP, a Galvatron, or Starscream-seekers and a new Soundwave or Shockwave would also be a suggestion. While I own the TT of them. I'm not happy with any of my decepticons. TE really upped the bar in heft, ingenuity, and Sunbow style presence. I hope their next release is just as good, and they continue to listen to us fans. They made a great start. Can't wait to see what's next.

'Deformation' is just what they call Transformation in China.

I say Rodimus, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper. This way the company will forever be associated with something specific. Best MP Dinobots - FT. The first real MP Devastator - TW. Better MP Autobots than the official versions - TE!

You might be able to use a hairdryer on the axe to remove the stress mark...

You can't really remove the stress. You can mask the mark and bring it back to the same color as the rest of the plastic by heating it but that doesn't undo the damage or make it any less likely to break.

I had a few scratches on the feet out the box, and also a paint mini silver paint bubble on the grill.. nothing major. It doesn't really eclipse the magnificence of the piece, but maybe TE can keep a better on production to limit these tiny mistakes in the future.

Maybe this is a dumb question...but...

What is the correct way to remove the axe from the wrist? The only thing keeping the translucent orange axe on the gray clip piece is friction, and it isn’t a lot of friction.

Invariably, I end up pulling off the orange part first, then I need to pick out then gray clip piece with a spudger. Even then, there isn’t a lot of room for me to insert a spudger, and it feels like surgery.
