Just wondering yesterday how this project was going. Mine is pre-ordered as well.
This one will have that delicious diecast to die for.

So I finally finished assembling this guy but after some poses, I can’t make him stand without falling. Any tips?

Abcrunch him. Like seriously it helps so much with his stability. I stabilised him like that and a minor knee bend on a bed with blankets on without effort.

I finally got him to stand consistently. This guy is a beast.

    This is my review.

    PROS:

    Superb build. Feels premium

Color paint is consistent. Top coated. Does not look dull

    Looks exactly like G1 Devy

Extras are so cool> Lats, LED etc

    CONS:

Transforming this is so hard and not friendly at all.

QC issues (not a lot but one part of the shovel broke but does not affect transformation

    9.5/10

It also has sliding hips which shifts the center of gravity forward or back. Great for pulling of different poses.

I would say mine was issue free. Good QC on my Dirty Boy. I did have Scavengers combiner socket shatter, but it is partially my fault for not pulling Scavenger out once connected. It is spring loaded, but I didnt know that. My only genuine complaint is how tight some of the joint screws are.

He wont stand as well on carpet. There is the sliding hips as mentioned. Also remember that Mixmaster and Bonecrusher twist a lot around the ankle area. Just be careful with placement. The key is off setting his mass. I find having one leg forward (bent at the knee) and the other slightly back helps this. Use the hip/thigh swivel too.

Just one thing about balancing: the proper alignment of not-scrappers shovel thingy is crucial. I had a problem with stability, and turned out that was the main problem.

Are the weathered and cel shaded sets done by hand? If so, you would think you'd have better luck with those as you'd hope obvious QC issues would be addressed while they're painting them.

    Emgo is the man.

I enjoy his reviews far more than Skullface. I find them to be well informed, properly lit, and entertaining. BSF's seem like he's learning to transform them on camera in a poorly lit room, and many times has to insert footage afterwards to explain his mistakes.

I like them both. Two completely different review styles though. Emgo prioritizes the transformations, BSF just his opinion.

My kid just bumped the shelf and dirty devy went crashing to the ground. Only the mushroom pegs on scrappers arms broke. Devastation indeed

Only one mushroom peg? Not bad. See if you can gorilla glue it, then let it dry. Then melt the plastic around the peg to help the bond (With an old soldering iron tip for example). In the mean time, see if Toyworld or your vendor can send you another.

Weathered Green showed up on eBay for $390. I’ve never bought from this seller, but he’s got great feedback. I’ve got a preorder in with ShowZ, but not sure of the price. I wonder if ShowZ will be cheaper or similar priced. (Although ShowZ does have great customer service, which might make it worth more money).
