do any of you unplug his cheetah head completely when having him in bot mode? i find myself doing that to preserve his whiskers which seem to get bent inside his chest cavity.

also, his cheetah mode’s shoulder and belly hinges also are a little looser than i’d like - anyone tried putting some future on them to tighten them up?

I did do that for a bit but I didn't like the gaps it leaves in his robot mode. Now I have two(original and reissue) I've kept the new reissue heads aside so they never end up inside and having their whiskers bent.

I considered taking the head off originally, but decided against it because I just didn't like the idea of Cheetor being a Partsformer. So I carefully slid the cheetah head inside the chest cavity. If nothing else his whiskers will appear like they're pointed backwards, I can live with that.

Come to think of it, I haven't touched my Cheetor for awhile now. I'll have to check how the whiskers are doing later today.

Does the Cheetor reissue box have the Long Life Design logo on it like Primal?

Like I said in the Beast Wars Appreciation thread, no it doesn't. Unlike the updated box for reissue Primal the Cheetor box looks identical to the original. Maybe there's some small differences in the legal text but no Long Life Design logo.

I received the reissue of MP-34 Cheetus today. As you mention, the box doesn't have the Long Life Design logo.

The connection of the shoulders in the reissue are better. They stay connected securely. That does not happen with the first release.

I can't say I've noticed any issues with the original, mind you. That shoulder connection doesn't "click" in place, but it holds just fine through pure friction.

Yup, I just keep the head off for the exact same reason.

Are there any noticable gaps in robot mode by doing this? My plan was to just swap in a head part that im not a fan of.

Received my Cheetor re-issue today! However, I do have mixed feelings on it:
    • Doesn't seem obvious in photos but the fake chest area is too small, the neck and shoulder areas look very awkward from an upward angle
    • Shoulder and thigh joints are super stiff making posing a challenge, hopefully it loosens a little after a few transformations
    • No secure hold on tail gun
    • Cheetah mode looks better than bot mode, I usually never have my transformers in alt mode but will probably make an exception here
Overall, I would have to say my impression on MP-34 Cheetor is more negative than positive and my main issue is the weird looking neck area. If the fake chest was bigger or if the neck area could fully collapse down so there wasn't a slight upward angle with the blue flap piece than I probably would've enjoyed Cheetor a lot more :redface2: .

Are you sure you have transformed him correctly? At times it's a pain in the a** to align that blue panel correctly...but this is how he should look like:

Thanks, I do have mine looking like that, and have the head/neck squeezed even lower.

Also, I managed to break off the left gold thigh plate when trying to transform it back to a cheetah :( . Should be fixable with glue... but damn, this figure doesnt get along with me.
