Target.com and physical Targets are run as two separate businesses with separate stock. There are plenty of things in store you can't have shipped online and vice versa.

 

They have the rest of Wave 6 in stock on and off, so I don’t see what makes SS38 so different

Studio Series 38 Voyager OP and the rest of Wave 6 haven't shown up at literally all Targets (no one even claimed they were), but they HAVE shown up at numerous Targets across the country the past few weeks. Even longer than that at Wal-Mart.

Along with that fact, the entirety of Studio Series wave 6, whether it be deluxes or voyagers, have been in stock on Target .com for awhile, except SS38, which is still stuck in “preorder”.

SS38 is in the same case assortment as SS Voyager Rampage, so your lazy “Case assortment...” snark holds no weight.

Anyway, I asked this because SS38 and that upcoming KSI Boss were the only Studio Series figures that got listed early on as preorders for some reason. I suspect it could’ve been an error in the system and it’s holding Target .com back from selling SS38 normally like the rest of Wave 6 right now.

For a second copy. People on eBay are paying $75-100 just for the Hasbro Slingshot. That’s insane.

 

That is a great price for this set. I have lost my interest in combiners, but this almost makes me buy another one.

 

Seriously. No matter what answer he got it wouldn't have been good enough. Order it from Hasbropulse and be done with it. My goodness.

 

Simplest answer, we don't know. Try contacting Target, if it's an error on their side they can then correct it and if not then they will probably be able to give you an ETA.

Whilst members on this board can come up with reasons and theories if you want facts you need to speak to the source.

 

I spent a boatload on this Target sale. Three moons aligned:
1) $25 off $100 (yeah!)
2) 25% off of TFs (wait, what???), and it stacks  
3) Wave 2 fresh off the truck and actually on shelves (now you're in the Matrix)

I don't think there is any malice in his response. He just complained about some of your snap answers, that could give other fans an incorrect picture of the weird issue.

For example, I was completely baffled when I saw SS38, since Target.com indicated the toy wasn't out yet. You can argue separate businesses, but online is THE place of corporate growth right now, so please also explain why Target might sabotage online sales AND ship that same product to stores. Godzilla's theory makes the most sense. It's not incredibly helpful to spout out platitudes about this business without thinking about or addressing his specific concern/comment.

 

Erm, yeah, that was kinda my whole point. Many here know e-commerce, know distribution but we don't know specifically Targets e-commerce. So to know a specific items status you need to go to the source.
