    About time! :lol
Though true to form, they forgot to fold down the bumpers on his feet ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯

MP-21's block hands with no wrist swivel was my biggest disappointment of that figure. Since MP-1 I was waiting for an MP Bumblebee who could open and close his hands.

    Roll on October!

To be bad more couldn't be done with his feet, his backpack looks more how I was expecting it to look, then what we saw at the show. That actually looks pretty uniform, for it to be made of so many different pieces.

I like this figure and despite having MP21 I might plump for this as the kids love Bumblebee that much.

However, I am not enjoying this trend to 2.0 models and +, I love every 6 months or so having a new G1 Masterpiece but this has now slowed up considerably. Does anyone have an idea where TT are going with this line and can we expect more G1 or is the series now on the wind down?

The Beastwars stuff looks great but as a series I never engaged so it really is just G1 for me.

    Thanks guys

You can definitely expect a new Starscream at some point in the next couple of years, and a few more anime + releases (the + releases can continue as toy repaints like 36+ foreva).

Things have been weird since Sunstreaker arrived. Maybe they’ll go back to how they were, maybe not. That’s 19 months now between new G1 moulds (MP-39 in December 2018, MP-44 in August 2019).

To be fair we are getting another new G1 mould a month after in MP-45. And if we’re lucky we might see Hound in January or February 2020. Let’s see if that pace continues and next summer also brings another new G1er.

His windows don’t look as blue as the plus releases. Have we confirmed that he will have the blue windows for production?

I agree with those that say he will look even better on the shelf next to larger bots. His feet and backpack are being made to look worse than reality with close up photos.

Yup I think we can imagine that the test shot we saw in the hand of his designer will be the final colours:

This is also the more up-to-date version, and it has the peg/hole on the outside of his forearms, that was missing on the earlier prototypes.

Cool thanks! There have been a few prototypes floating around and I wasn’t sure what was final. But I guess I should just trust Takara to match the other bots until proven otherwise.

Do we think the holes on the arms are for pegging the alt mode together more securely? Or are they for an accessory we haven’t seen yet?

I imagine they're just for pegging the arms together in alt-mode. It's a damn shame they aren't for an accessory, as they'd be perfect for his arm-comm. Unless they're going back to earlier MP shenanigans of including accessories with repaints a la Exhaust and the immobiliser.

If they don't fix the yellow, this release was basically pointless in the end. The yellow of the original, while nice looking, was not accurate. Way too orange. When displayed with Huffer, they almost look the same.

Thanks for the reply Sam, I'm glad its not just me that sees this, Sunstreaker was a beaut IMHO, id love to see that attention to detail on a Hound, Mirage, Blaster or JAZZ!! (I went third party as I cant have G1 collection without Jazz) maybe a few Decepticons, I really don't see the value in a new Starscream either and wile Prime 3.0 looks great, I do not see the point MP10 is pretty awesome.

Well I can't deny that a new Starscream is currently at the top of my most-wanted list, and Prime v3 was at the top of my most-wanted list before he was announced. MP-45 was an awesome surprise that I wasn't expecting, and I'm thrilled we're getting him (Bumblebee was my childhood favourite).

That said, if the schedule is what it was say around 2016, then at least people who don't want remakes could still be getting new characters.

I can't say that I don't hope we get Starscream next year, or a new Grimlock the year after, but I certainly hope that we also get other characters in the next two years too. Jazz is my most-wanted Autobot for sure! I do think we'll get him, Mirage and Blaster soon enough.

Hopefully MP-44 and MP-45 will bring in even more fans to the MP fold, and TT will churn out some new characters to keep them hooked, as well as to satisfy us old-timers!

I think the biggest angst for myself and others is the current direction of TT with the toon accurate or be damned mentality. I know some people love it and I am happy for them, but, I've always seen Transformers as amazing robots that transform into real to life vehicles. This toon accuracy push takes away that real to life aspect of Transformers to me. I want to see a Freightliner Cabover that turns into Optimus Prime, I want to see a Datsun Z-car that turns into a carbot, I want to see a F-15 that turns into a Decepticon. I don't care about an "artists interpretation" of a vehicle that might or might not look like something real. I guess I'm in the minority, but I want detail, not bland panels that have no life or soul to it. I want to look at the details of an area and imagine seeing Wheeljack or Ratchet opening it and working on them. I know, I'm probably overromanticizing the whole thing but I want to feel like it could actually be real, and this new direction of toon flat bland panels just doesn't get my imagination turning.

So glad you posted your GIF again - it's brilliant! I can't stop looking at it. Got me excited for this guy all over again! So much more "life and soul" than MP-21. This guy looks alive!

You associate 'detailed' panels with an outer space alien race, but I associate that more with human-powered mechs. The smooth bare spaces are more how I imagined the cartoon characters coming to life. That they're broken up with actual transformation seams provides all the visual 'noise' I need.

But hey, neither of us are right or wrong. It's all open to interpretation.

Yeah, that's Dan Gilvezan's Bumblebee right there!

Like the ruby crystals of Burma...which happen to look like they were located in the American Southwest, but still...;)
