Not happening the character is too obscure to get a full blown release. Even the 4MP pack had a orange Ratbat. They will use what is "closely resembling" for obscure characters just to reuse a mold. Which isn't the worst thing ever.

Skywarp looks good, Greenlight looks fine. G2 Sideswipe needed a G2 symbol, but ok. "Slamdance" is terrible. When the Club went away, it was hopeful things like that would go away too but I guess not. It's just product to fill slots rather than really trying to produce things that are fun and add value to our collections.

 

For those that wanted to see what they look like in the opposite colors:



I think all 3 of these look pretty good, and I will definitely get Skywarp and Greenlight at some point. I don't have a G2 collection though so I'm probably gonna have to pass on the set with Slamdance for now, but maybe if I can get him individually later somehow - I probably will.

 

I don't know how many times I said, "Slamdance will be a Flywheels repaint" and everyone said "nuh uh he'll be a new mold".
Doesn't matter, I like it. Obscure cassette bots are my favourite, so I'm all for this.
He's rocking the Thundercracker colours in jet mode, too.

Shame Sideswipe's got the G1 emblem, but I guess it's the last days of the war, not the end of the war. *shrugs*

Purple Pteraxadon just helps sell the fact that with a head change, this would make a very cool Ratbat.

That’d make it more accurate to the original G2 Sideswipe.

Yep. Either Skytread or Battletrap's head could pass for Slamdance if you were squinting, so I at least appreciate they gave SD his own.

 

Hope we do get proper cassette Slamdance at one point but happy with this one. Definitely looking forward to the G2 set because of that and Sideswipe. Even if not doubted at this point, good to get confirmation on Skywarp too.

 

I think this Slamdance is better then nothing. It was a long shot we’d get cassette-bot updates that combined. I think the Skytread mold fits it just fine.

 

I recognized him as Skywarp easily, more than good enough for me.

I'm not sure if you're joking or over reacting, because it seems we don't really care about the specific 'shade' of color. At least it's not a slightly lighter purple, good god, what would we do then? I hope we have enough facepalm images for that. I mean, Siege Thundercrackers colors seem to lack the metallic of the Generations Deluxe, but I still know they're Thundercracker at first glance.

 

Compare the molding. It's neither Duocon.

 

Okay.

Skywarp: He’s grey, it looks good. Better than the bumblebee movie skywarp. Also he’s got THREE BATTLEMASTERS!!!

Sideswipe: Superior to the normal sideswipe. Yeah there’s no neon which is lame. Reprolabels probably will do something I won’t buy though.

Slam dance: Yeah I don’t know man. He’s got the wrong combined colours but if you fixed that the alt-modes would be wrong. I dunno. He confuses me.

 

Skywarp looks badass, as does that G2 Accurate Swipe. Hope I can pick these up some time!

 

Fourteen pages in, and no one has mentioned that Tigertrack has a completely wrong color scheme?!?  


...yeah, yeah, I know. Congratulations to everyone who was hoping for the G2 version at retail prices. *sigh*  

 

Skywarp is hype for me, he looks amazing! Slamdance  may be inaccurate but I still like it and will get him as well. Sideswipe and Greenlight look nice but I might not prioritize getting them compared to others.

 

Unless you go aftermarket, sideswipe and slamdance are sold together, you can’t get one without the other
