as long as the screw on that joint is nice and tight. the neck shouldn't give you anymore trouble since there is no place for the paper to go. it won't rub off like the other stuff it is just there.

That makes sense. The screw is pretty tightly in there and I can't turn it anymore, don't want to thread it either as they're soft screws.

Its gotten a little lose and won't hold the same poses after fiddling with it to get Inventa onto Magna but it's ok now and in the cabinet. I'll leave it for now and see if it sags.

    Thanks for the tips!

I'm wondering why they couldn't have used either robust ball joints or something similar to those Revoltech ball joints for the neck. I don't know much about toy engineering but I wonder if those would work better

They could have used a different solution, but designer thought it would negatively impact the aesthetics.

I have a refund coming from BBTS, hopefully next week, and was gonna get Inventa Magna, but I'm having second thoughts after hearing complaints about the neck and how potentially fragile some parts of the shuttle component are.

Might just get that shiny Bring Arts Odin instead.

It’s really not as bad as people are making it out to be, some people on these boards always find something to complain about

I’ve had mine for awhile now and the neck seems to be holding up just fine. It would be interesting to know what percent of these are actually having neck issues.

I just get the general sense MMC has been slipping lately. They came out the gate with what was, for years, the best Predaking option available. Then they gave us a stellar MP-esque Mirage, and while I'm not an IDW collector people seemed to like their takes on the comic versions of characters. Just the same, their Sixshot was a great option until the CHUG version happened. But I recall many being unhappy with their Trailbreaker and Hoist, and now Inventa Magna reportedly has a lot of issues. Their Star Convoy doesn't look much better than Takara's half-assed take, and sure, they're making a Deathsaurus, but Planet X made one too, and he's $20 cheaper and actually at retail. I'm just hoping this isn't a case of a once golden boy of the 3P world going down the path to obscurity and irrelevancy, much as Fans Project has.

No but seriously, the neck thing is super blown out of proportion. Most everybody's holds up fine and most of the people complaining are just ridiculously picky. The few that have legitimately had trouble have been relatively easy to fix except the one where the guy tried to apply nail polish which seemed to make it worse. Mine was only a smidgen loose but I did the fix anyway just to make it tighter. But if I hadn't been able to fix it, it would've been fine.

Agreed. I'm quite happy with Inventa. Magna should be shipping out tomorrow. My Inventa's neck kinda holds. I can get it good enough for pic posing.

Honestly though, there isn't a better option for Skylynx available. Maybe 5 years from now Gigapower will make one that's massive and has their premium finish.

I'm afraid to wonder how much GP's is going to cost. MMC's was already expensive enough.

i doubt we will see another space chicken for a really long time if we ever do. he is quite a gamble for a company to roll the dice on now that a really great one has been released.

i don't think it will be like the omega wars or 2018. that was totally personal and not about business.

    Freshly arrived.

This guy is every bit the brick that everyone says. There's no flight stand out there that can hold the combined Skylynx.

    These will work.

    FlightPose

I have actually tested the largest version holding the Star Wars BMF for a photo.

My wishful thinking is that the new Commander class would be great for a Skylynx that separates and everything, but who knows if the character will be revisited in an official capacity.

@artimus prime, how well can he be posed in combined form if you aren't trying to do a flying pose?

Mine still has a loose neck that needs to be fixed. Other than that, he's the best option available. I've only snapped a couple of pics combined so far.

The only articulation that is lost from combination is the Lynx's torso movement. This guy is HEAVY. He might be 3lbs or so.

Damn! I love that crouching/pouncing tiger stance. This is such a great figure.
If he was maybe 20-40% bigger I'd be all over him but I must resist. Damn it's tough to say no though.

Is it bad that a part of me kind of wants to see this KO'd and oversized by someone? Done right, by someone like Wei Jiang, I can imagine them selling a heap of these to MP collectors. Maybe somewhere during the current MP Combiner war, someone will take on Sky Lynx, instead of yet another Menasor.

Till then I will admire this and fight not to listen to that little voice telling me to "buy"

yes, i would have loved him to be larger. but i dont really see it necessary with this mold. he is a pretty decent size as it is.

I'm still interested to see if Gigapower does one. This guy is really big still. He takes up half of a 4ft × 18in shelf by himself. Add Gaudenter to the shelf and there's room for little else.
