Just got my copy from TFSource, for all I read about the transformation it wasn't really that bad, just took my time and double checked myself with the whole hip skirt thing. Overall a pretty solid piece and actually a fun transformation, the last side panels that lock everything together was a bit slow going but otherwise not bad at all. Got Ollie in the same order and that thing is a floppy mess, wish someone else made a more workable version.

 

I haven't been on here for quite a while but Fans Toys seem to have improved their faces. Jabber looks like he needs some work but Koot and Apache look pretty great.

 

Their faces are excellent now, possibly save for a few, if you’re picky.

They even went back and corrected faces/head(s) for the Dinobots.

Perceptor is still their worst offender. But if you have the official Fire Truck boys; you can do a face swap with one of theirs (just don’t forget the blue tack!)

 

Koot seems like a pretty decent version of Kup. May have to add this one eventually.

Kup was always a favorite or mine as a kid. I may be in the minority, but I keep my Koot in alt mode as there is a lot of nostalgia in his truck design.

 

I just noticed My copy of Koot has something weird happening on the off-white colored paint around the wheel arches (sides of the torso in bot mode): there's a barely visible cracking pattern showing up.

Anyone else experiencing this?

You can just barely see it in the picture if you zoom in; but it's slightly more visible in person.

 

Does the gun that came with him look too clownish to anyone else? I tried one or Ironhide/Ratchet's guns out. Gave a different one to Blaster too. Don't like his gun.

 

Clownish? How? Koot's rifle looks fine to me.

 

Weird. Is pressure applied to that part when you transform it?

Finally got this guy... without going through dozens and dozens of pages, can someone tell me if there's a good method of getting an Autobot symbol on there?

Like, did someone maybe make a little plastic one that can attach between the two chest panels maybe?

I was thinking the guy who made the symbols for Phoenix and does screw covers as well, I think, might have designed something but I forgot his name...

 

Ask jream. He has a sales page for his customs on the boards. Just search his name and he'll have a link in his signature. He does custom things like that all the time.

I just take a symbol and put it on. Then take a new razor or hobby knife and slit the symbol using the cut in the chest piece (as a guide) you put the symbol on. Take your time and it works perfectly
