Much as Ultra Magnus is a very disappointing figure I'd rather TE tackle Rodimus Prime as a non-partsforming figure next.

I'd like TE-02 to be a Decepticon. Either Galvatron or Megatron. I know they've been done but I need TE to do their magic on either one.

Here's my final addition of pics to this thread. It's such an amazing figure in both modes. Too bad the transformation had to be as complex as it is, but I understand why.

How would you affix that? I see there are pegs on the back, but nowhere for them to go on the TE-01 .

Amazing figure. Had fun with the transformation. Poses as much as I need it to. Feels like quality. Awesome.

We really need a Perceptor or an Astrotrain, or a proper '86 movie Rodimus. Though I would certainly not be mad if a more svelte Magnus was their next project.

The one thing I can say, I hate it so much that they cut out a space for his autobot logo. Stickers or water slides look horrible on it. I hope someone will 3D print out and paint a logo that can be simply glued into place that would look more natural.

    Best Regards,

Somebody email toyhax to do a white backed raised sticker for him.

I got the metallic backed raised one on him and I think it looks good.

It would be really easy. Just need to find a svg of the autobot logo, and make it 3d. I keep meaning to do it but I just haven't got around to it - the dryrub I put on his shoulder isn't perfect but it hasn't bothered me enough to go to the trouble to fix it.

While I want also a decent Rodimus Prime, I feel like for us G1 kids, they understand, that TE01 V2 brings back a lot of nostalgia. Especially feelings associated with that nostalgia. For something like their eerily cartoon accurate prime. They really need to work their way up to somebody like Rodimus, and starting with Prime's brother, is a good way to go. Ultra Magnus makes the best logical choice. Bring in a few movie accessories, like a matrix, and an authentic Matrix chamber as good as they did for TE01, and they could have another hot release. I'd suggest a Decepticon after. Megatron in a more cartoon style, because we know if any of us, even me, who owns MP36 had a chance to get a TE01 level Megs...yea, we'll take it! There's a market for that, even with all the variations of MP36. But not like this. TE01 the more I look at it. The more I feel like its a class by itself. Not really that much paint. Good sculpt. Great intiuitive Transformation. Becomes fun once you've got it down a few times. Everything fits. The ears, you've just gotta take that part slow. Feel it out, inspect, and go slow. Other then that, the flat coloring and feel of the plastic is unlike anything I've felt and seen in the line this far. Its truly a unique quality, that would be perfect to do with UM because of his Altmode, because nobody has really given him the attention to detail that character deserved. Just look at how error filled the TT MP was. Bulky. Wide face and head. It's time. Rodimus will come. I just want to see them learn new tricks with UM first, later they can take all they learned and just nail Rodimus Prime. Thereafter, should follow a Galvatron.

Agreed. I think they should do a good cross section of the 86' movie. Megatron, Ultra Magnus, Starscream coronation, sweeps, scourge, Quintessons, sharkticons, bumblebee, perceptor, blurr, Arcee, Hotrod, etc..definitely Rodimus Prime and Galvatron within a figure of each other if not one after another...

Gantastic pics! You make me want to buy another just to be in altmode with the trailer..

I honestly don't know what they will do next. Recolor is most likely. Tho I'd be shocked if a TE02 was Megatron. I'd be delighted, yes..but shocked nonetheless. As for the logical choice, Ultra Magnus screams next hit. Mainly because if they can pull off TE01 level of brilliance and toon Aesthetic appeal, there's a void that is gonna be absorbing that like a sponge. If they did it right, that Ultra Magnus would be one of the most sought after MPs for any classic fan. Especially if they made a true effort to capture all the design elements into a good clean altmode. Its possible, that figure could eclipse TE01 in sales, their company is riding on their 2nd release for the collector circuit to feel like they are legit and here to stay, especially if the final product is good. Blocky bots are the easiest to work with. TE01 looks epic. TE02 Ultra Magnus would be a no brainer. His body and frame are blocky like Prime's to a certain extent
If they can capture the right proportions. Good accurate details, put love for the character's design into it. Then it would be huge I believe. I think as a kid, I'd have been okay with Prime's death a bit better, when I thought Ultra Magnus was gonna get more badass, and have a face shield like Prime, but then it went to Hot Rod, and that kinda annoyed me to no end. I didn't even watch season 3 that much after, I kind went into MOTU and GI Joe by that point. What brought me back tho was the zombie Prime episode.

Damn.. Groundhogs day...I totally asked for this a few pages back. Yes! Great minds..this would be an instant purchase. Much more durable.

Enjoy it bro. What I did.. First thing out of,the box. Took out V2 head. Inspected it. Removed the V1 head. Installed V2 head. Once that was done, I finally took time to look at him. Seeing it for the first time in its movie style or season 2 glory.

Snug, almost MP10 tight on mine. I was kinda worried taking mine off at first.

See that could easily work with the symbol depression in the arm. Because thw raised portion levels it out. Tho I'd like something I could glue a plastic symbol into the space, with the face side actually slightly oversized so as to give a larger symbol on the shoulder.

Fits like a glove, and it's the official Hasbro one.
