They're kind of scarce at the moment, since it's the first shipment & collectors pounced on them. I'm sure they'll be restocked to the point where Target has to clearance them out like usual.
Marvel Legends Unleashed Wolverine and Sabretooth, cancelled in 2008-2009: Unproduced Marvel Legends Unleashed Wolverine & Sabretooth... - The Fwoosh Forums The only figures to make it to retail from that line were comic classic and symbiote Spidey and a few Spider-Man 3 figures. 8" scale.
That's kind of a neat score, and another interesting look at the line in Hasbro's hands before they truly found their groove. Always did kinda want the Unleashed Venom, but never found it in person.
Up until today I had a low opinion of the Blink fig. I had assumed that she and Mystique were the same figure, just different heads, same skirt piece just remolded, and different color scheme. But I watched that MCUCollector24's review of her on YT and Blink uses a different body entirely from Mystique. Skirt seems to be unique too, unless Hasbro pulled off some slick craftiness there to make it different enough from Mystique's. Blink went from a maybe to a definite pick up at some point.
I guess the Sandman wave one by default? The Kraven two-pack version is slightly different and includes a Peter head. The newer Kingpin wave one will be determined more by how you feel about the new suit moreso than the figure's quality.
Thanks! I was close to biting on ordering both in a case for full price but now with that out of the way, I might just bite on Prof X next time I see it available for retail price.
All three are on the same body so it really depends on if you want the classic look or the "new" look and what kind of accessories you're looking for. The Sandman wave Spidey comes with to open hands and two fists, Kraven two pack one comes with two thwip hands (weird for this suit) instead of open hands plus an unmasked Peter head that sports a black eye, and the Kingpin wave version (which is based on him recently borrowing the symbiote from Eddie) comes with two fists and two clawed hands.
I just ordered Ronin...Probably won't do any mods because I hate altering toys if I don't have to. Will see how it goes.
Until just now I thought the thwip hands were weird too for the Kraven set. I just realized that Kraven's Last Hunt was published after he got rid of the symbiote but was still wearing the black suit. So technically the thwip hand is accurate for the specific period since Peter was using web shooters at the time. I don't know how consistent the artists were during 85-88 in showing the appropriate web shooting position. All that being said three sets of hands would of been great for this set.
Okay, that makes more sense than if it was published after he got rid of the symbiote. And, yeah, he could have used all three sets of hands. No reason the two pack shouldn't have considering there really isn't much new tooling going on here.
