Love your work Metro. I wish I had your skills to paint Studio Series Brawl up.

    Thank you. I appreciate that!

Now, I need to work up the courage to do a full repaint. Lol

    I did IronHide.

Blacked the tires, clear Tamiya blue for the windshield, gave him some SD gundam/gundam weapons (cheap old SD gundams make perfect weapons with the right peg).

Does anyone else think that this mold should be retooled into WFCS Kup?
Tell me I'm not the only one who see the remold potential in this figure.

I use Rust-o-leum 2 in 1 Painters touch Flat and Semi-Gloss black as base paints decanted into my airbrush. Enamel based that work great after prepping the plastic by using Isopropyl alcohol to remove most paint and sanding then a warm dish soap wash and thorough dry. I haven't experimented with too many other primers as of yet but I have been using that method for almost 7 years now. The reason I use that brand as my basecoat/primer is because Home Depot is literally 5 minutes away.

Current WIP of my Ironhide. I started on it Saturday and plan to finish by this Sunday. A new record for me. It usually takes me at least a month to complete one but this one is simple enough by just using what paints I already have in supply. I'm doing some fill in work right now on the bottom of his feet, arms and the weapon. I should have that part of it finished by tonight after work then I can sand, clean and basecoat by tomorrow.

That looks like a dirty war-beaten Ironhide already.

I took the plunge into my first big conversion project. Using SS Shadow Raider to make a Movie Breakdown.

Unfortunately I made the really bad decision to remove some of the more stubborn parts of the paint with a wire brush attachment for my Dremel.
That really screwed up a lot of the finer details and now I have to make a lot of modifications.

In retrospect I should have just given it a good sanding/cleaning and primered over the existing stubborn orange paint.

I'm going to have to take it serious now lol.

I was considering using Tamiya Smoke for the windshield. Being able to see that big empty space inside his chest is visually distracting from solid look he should have.

I have a couple of Gundam weapons I have been thinking of modifying to fit 5mm ports.

Quickest way is to use the pegs off of TF cheap TF figures.

I'm going to order some 5.5mm polystyrene tube stock from evergreen.
The extra 0.5mm should allow me to adjust the fit as needed.

I've been using evergreen products for over 20 years.
