the worst paint job ive ever seen on a SS figure so far!!! the only colors are literally just red blue and dark grey and theres hardly any red and blue!
wasnt the trailer supposed to be light grey???? why couldnt they go all out and do silver!! dark grey is so wrong!! if youre not painting it at least do light grey! the logo and the blue stripes on the trailer arent even painted!

i want the figure so bad but honestly after seeing these images i am tempted to not get it

 

I think those Primes are pretty terrible and are in need of an update.

 

I dont like his stomach, which is a red color instead of silver color.

You can use just Sharpies or Snowman, I did it for Ratchet and he looks much better now.

 

Still a Voyager, you lying pricks. Anyways, I do like the trailer addition.

 

Think this is extremely cool. Been waiting since 2011 for that trailer. The weapons are a killer bonus.
Just needs a few LEDs.

Height of the figure itself doesn't determine the price point.

 

As far as part counts go, he's fine for $50. You have a $30 voyager and a pretty substantial trailer and accessories for another $20. Definitely a better value than Siege Shockwave, who's a small, not-too-complex voyager with about half of a deluxe's worth of parts. But that still doesn't make up for the mismanaged paint apps. Imagine if they released a voyager G1 style Prime with an unpainted, red grill. We would raise a ruckus, just like we we should with this guy.

 

Still seeing plenty of paint on him. Just that most of it went into vehicle detailing, and very little into the robot mode other than basic colour blocking.

 

A little disappointed with the lack of paint apps on the trailer.

 

Mold the trailer in light grey plastic, paint the top and bottom edges of the trailer blue, the axe\'s blades orange, the big guns\' barrels black/dark gray, and a put a bit of dark gray to the shield and it\'d be perfect.  Don\'t really care about the red abs, personally, as I\'m gonna use the replacement piece from Jetfire.  Nice to see he\'s getting the ion blaster as well.  Makes completing SS Prime\'s arsenal much easier.  Also curious to see if the trailer is compatible with SS-38.  SS-05\'s 5th wheel is a little over 5mm and set slightly higher than SS-38\'s, but I think it could work.

 

But is it compatible with MP 10?

 

I hope the trailer is compatible with SS-38.

This is a painfully true statement. Look how many people were upset about the price of MP-44 or vintage Optimus, yet plenty of other people will lap them up without hesitation, rendering all of our discontent completely impotent.

 

Not buying it is definitely the most important part.

 

That's my entire point!  

Why bother making other characters???  

Stick to 100% pure, uncut Optimus, Hasbro!  

Everyone can agree: flagships carry the brand and never cause buyer or brand fatigue. Good call!  

 

If it helps any, I seldom buy Optimus!  

Except that G1-ish SS Voyager: it felt distinctive enough (plus Target discounts).
