Master Grade F90Y Cluster Gundam.... I've waited 20 years to hear those words. I boxed it up a long time ago but that was my FIRST UC kit after seeing it in an article of Animerica Magazine.

That may be a different kit altogether... The F90Y doesn't seem to share a ton of parts.... The regular F90 certainly does not have a core fighter...

I'll likely pass on the F90, but if they eventually make the F90-II L-Type, oh man I'll be all over that...

The F90 looks nice but I really dont care that its P-Bandai as its side stuff/semi-canon. This is one of the few cases where I feel releases like this makes more sense to be P-Bandai-ed. Although I feel sorry for anyone that's gonna be a completist for buying all.

I'm starting to grow a bit embittered toward usagundam with all the delays I'm noticing lately. I pre-ordered the Leo Flight type on the spot when they listed it, and it's been over a month since the estimated arrival date. I ordered a Robot Spirits GM and it got shipped out fast but now it's apparently not been moving at all since the weekend. I know these kind of things may not be explicitly their fault, and generally I'm a fairly patient man... but this is twice in relative quick succession that I'm throwing my money at them and seeing nothing for it.

Hope you get your stuff soon QW. If they're actually expecting stock from Japan, then Golden Week is in a few weeks and all of Japan shuts down for that.

Okay, I just did a bit of research... and I may have just completely lost the GM because it went through Ybor City FL distribution center for some god-forsaken reason.....

It's like every series that isn't a mainstream released television show, movie, or comic is getting the Exclusive treatment...

I've been meaning to follow up with them about the PG Astray Blue Frame I preordered for a friend back in December.. Supposedly it was being released in January, but so far there's been no mention of a release of it even in Japan.

Of all variation series, why did they pick the AoZ designs to be essentially an all exclusive line? Wouldn't surprise me if they make a revive of the Hazel that's an exclusive at this point, either.

Like, if making money is an issue, the solution should be just raise prices across the board - more money would be made from a popular suit costing more money at mass retail as opposed to restricting it at an even higher cost. And what about the whole "customization" push the build series are supposed to be encouraging? We got TWO Unicorn Destroy mode Phenix kits in gold plated and gold cast variations...but we couldn't get the goddamn Schezar Jesta in any configuration with the custom tac ops sight visor and the neat guns?

EDIT: probably bad timing given the topic this thread is on, but I just got a message that my Moon Gundam awaits me at home.

Taking a break from the Avalanche, after taking another break from the GM Sniper... and opened the Jagd Doga for a bit.

    20190417_152130.jpg

Wait.. that's Jagd.. the steer. He was being the funny guy in the feedlot this afternoon running around the grain wagon in the calf's pen.

.. Here's the Re/100 Jagd. I'm just trimming my way through the runners right now, and planning where and what to paint.

My Frame Gray recipe will cover my dark gray needs.

Got a bit sidetracked detailing some of the "Full Color" SD Gundams I got last week. Here's the first completed one... which I now see needs touching up, haha.

    SDFCheavyarmscustom.jpg

For those of you not familiar with these gashapon toys, keep in mind they average less than 2" tall. Here's a picture of the figure as it comes out of the capsule:

    SDFCheavyarmsoriginal.jpg

Also, I came across some of the Chogokin Damashii figures at a store today, and decided to pick up the Sinanju and RX-78-2. And, surprise surprise...

    Chogokin.jpg

...I got the gold chase version. Not sure what I'm going to do with it just yet, I'm actually not a fan of gold at all. Still, pretty cool to actually find a chase color after all this time.

If Halden is doing it, I'll do it too.
    Ghostbusters Ecto-1/A
So, long ago, I received AMT'S 1:25 Ecto-1A kit as a Christmas gift. The instructions mentioned how it could be built as Ecto-1 (the car from the first movie) or Ecto-1A (the car from Ghostbusters 2) now I took that to meaning It had all the parts included to build either vehicle. Boy was I wrong, and Boy does AMT not know the differences between the two cars.

Man, these FMP kits are badass. I love the Gernsback, probably more than the Lavetein. I gave the extra assault rifle and combat knife to it, and the Gernsack has the ones it's supposed to have. Makes me want the normal Gernsback and the grey Arbalest for a full squad.

I also took the, what, five minutes to snap the old Shining Gundam together? Much nostalgia, and boy it's quaint to see how old... old Gunpla was.

Very cool. Don't be afraid to make second coats on those tanks after you finish painting the straps and framing around them.

Speaking of cars... The final assembly was harder than I needed but the GT is finished!

First I had to add some paint to the skid plate, because it makes up the whole bottom rail along the sides of the car.

    20190417_204726.jpg

Then fitting the body on before I put the tires on was a mistake...

    20190417_204415.jpg

..Okay, luckily it wasn't glued. It's a friction connection where the car body hugs the undercarriage from the front and back.

Only to discover that the front suspension part had BROKEN!!!

    20190417_205157.jpg
Believe it or not, this is the exact same part I had to fix.. two years ago! Luckily, I had a spare. Didn't worry about blasting it with clear coat as it disappears between the wheel and suspension.

    20190417_210758.jpg

..And then attach the skid plate.. No posts so it's all glue down the edges where the parts meet where it is not visible.

    20190417_211539.jpg

a Quick brush of finishing lacquer later.. and here we are....

    20190417_212411.jpg

I'll clean my thumbprints off of it later but I'll be ready to mail it out on Friday.

    20190417_212604.jpg

Boxart is #35, but the decal guide shows it also for #33.. I didn't feel like doing the double layered decals and it was the more continuous patterns. My client couldn't care less about that but I know at least he's happy with the work so far.

Double Post Punch instead of Editing.. I also got my supply order in of the micro brushes. These are a different brand than what I've been using, however these are MEDICAL grade versions I bought in bulk on Amazon, they were listed as Dental applicators and makeup brushes in the larger sizes. This isn't the first time I've gotten an honorary medical degree for buying hobby supplies...

I got four 100 brush canisters with dispenser caps (like a spice bottle. literally turn cap, drop brush) a bit cheaper than my usual Hobby supply store would be, but faster delivery. I've still got the other three 100 packs on the way with more sanding sponges and empty paint jars, but those are Microbrush brand.

    20190417_200512.jpg

They're both 1mm tips and I've noticed some times before that certain batches will look thicker than others, however they'll work just the same.

Microbrush brand (top) and Vivid (bottom)

    20190417_215648.jpg

    --
In GUNPLA related news.. I contacted USA GS and they did get back to me. As far as the Exclusives are concerned, they've been getting them in shorter supply than they had been. As for the reason I wrote, they've been getting the PG Blue Frames and some more exclusive kits in more recent shipments, with some of them tied up in Customs for a few weeks, but for obvious reasons of supply aren't listing them online just yet. The Blue Frame especially.
