Anyone care to give me recomendations on what type of light bulb to use in a normal, everyday lamp to get good color when doing indoor shots? Please and thank you

LED Daylight, make sure all lights in the room are that style. One fluorescent or off white bulb can throw things off. White is the combination of all colors so as longs as you have a clean looking white the colors should pop appropriately.

I would add setting your white balance is equally as important.

 

Picked up Skytread/Flywheels today and got some nice shots of him! Much love to all!

 

Yeah, that can still come up depending on the background even if you have the lights sorted. But f you're using lights with gaps in the spectrum you can end up with color noise that can't be edited out.

I guess I'm saying lights can keep a pic from being usable while tint can be smoothed out by tweaking the temp a bit.

Openchallenge pretty much answered it, but I'd also like to add not just any LED Daylight bulbs--I try to stay away from the "Soft White" type, and make sure they're 5000K bulbs. Some I've found are either just above or just below even though they say "daylight" on the packaging, but you have to look carefully as I found that one way or another you get either a more blue hue to the light or yellow-orangeish depending on where it's at on the spectrum.
