Like Pcm above said getting the tail to plug into the head can be an ordeal. Took me a fair number of tries. Iirc someone posted earlier to rotate the tail like 90/180 degrees when plugging it in.

Posing wise I like using the longest part of his wing as sort of a stand to help him stay up. Just point the longest blade straight down and flare the others up. Works pretty well.

 

Alright, I'm pretty dead-set on getting the Cryotek version of this figure, but wanted to double check some of the issues so I can know what to be careful with. Off the top of my head:

• tail joint is hard to pop into head
• figure has a hard time balancing in both modes
• fingers sometimes pop off?

Any other issues? Also, I should ask--what are the fixes for his issues? I remember there's some sort of flip out heel to fix his stability? Silicon oil for the tail joint, etc...

 

He says ''yes" a tad bit too often. But its starting to grow on me. Strange..

 

People got fingers popping off? What the heck are yall doing to this figure

 

There are tricks to making the tail easy to install. If you use the ankle joints properly there is no stability issues at all. I haven't heard of fingers popping off except for one isolated case I believe.

 

My figure came in the mail today. Thankfully, I bought it from a very reliable seller, so it's perfect. Didn't have any issues getting the tail plugged in, no paint smudges, stands perfectly fine even without the wing acting as kick stands, and the joints are very tight.

First impressions: WOW! That's all I can say. This guy commands attention and will definitely be a centerpiece of my collection along with Gorira. I'm a huge Beast Wars fan, so I don't know why I put off buying this guy for so long. Simply gorgeous.

I haven't had much time to play around with it since I have to get back to work. Plus, I've been rearranging shelves, so my little man cave is in a bit of disarray. I'll probably post more in depth thoughts tomorrow when I've had time to mess around with it.

Just had some time this evening to mess around with his robot mode. This guy is great, easily my new favorite figure in my rather large collection. Also, I haven't had any issues with getting him to balance at all. His joints are super strong. I wonder if I got a second run of the figure. No QC issues so far, but I've yet to transform him. Will probably do that tomorrow.

What's due out first- the reissue or the Cryotek revamp?

 

Can't say I know. I preordered at the initial release and it's been sitting in my Stack for months.

 

Makes sense if it was part of the initial release, surprised they held onto it for so long
