Gorira and Megadoragon are the only two figures who have their own dedicated shelfs in my collection. Definitely attention grabbers, and for good reason too.

Yeah even my wife was like "wow" to Megadoragon. I have the black Gorira pre-ordered. Can't wait.

Considering he was replying to someone who originally intended to use Kapow, which doesn't ship to the US, that's completely unsurprising.

Sooo... I've had a bit of bad luck purchasing a Mega Doragon. TFW and BBTS both have no clue when they're getting another shipment. I've had 2 deals lined up with members here on TFW, 1 fell though (guy got cold feet about selling it) and the other one turned out to be a member from the UK, so shipping wasn't even worth it.

I had the opportunity to buy one in a "substandard box" from BBTS Friday, but ended up getting sniped when someone purchased it probably a few seconds before I could get my order in.

I'm not really fond of ordering things from Hong Kong...so Robotoybase and ShowZ are out of the question for me.

That said, is anyone here thinking about selling off their Mega Doragon? If so, just PM me. I have the money, I just don't have anyone to buy it from!

Is there a reason you refuse to order from HK/China based sellers?

Yea, I have had some pretty crumby experiences buying from stores in Hong Kong and Malaysia. I guess I just have bad luck, but my items always get stuck in customs for MONTHS, and I even once had an item disappear in customs. I'm just paranoid since I've had that happen a lot, and for a figure I'd be spending over $200 on, I just don't think it's worth the stress/hassle.

That's unfortunate, I get 90% of my 3p figures from tony at Robotoybase and have never had any issues.

ShowZStore is China based. Does that make a difference, or are you conflating the two?

Not sure how that makes a difference. Won't it still go through customs?

I guess my issue is more customs than anything, since, like I mentioned before, my items always get stuck for long periods of times, and I've even had them lose a very expensive item before.

Ah, so so it's not just Hong Kong and Malaysian sellers you're trying to avoid, it's anyone outside the US at all?

If it has to pass through customs, yes.

Then, since AFAIK everything that comes from outside the US has to pass through customs, you only want US sellers. Have a look at The Chosen Prime; They still have preorders open.

Thanks for the help, but TFSource and BBTS also have preorders open. Like I mentioned in my first post, no US sellers seem to have a clue when the shipments are even coming in. I'll see if I can get someone to sell me the figure, and if by Friday I still cant find a seller, I'll probably just go with TFSource for the free shipping.

I'm afraid you're going to have to get used to not knowing when your pre-orders are coming in from now on. It's the situation basically all US retailers are stuck in.

Welp, my impatience paid off. Sorta...

Was able to find a US seller on eBay with a fairly good price to boot. Figure should be here by the weekend.

Looking at all the pictures you guys have posted has been VERY excited to pose this bad boy with my Beast Gorira.

Anything I should be aware of before messing around with the figure?

The tail comes separate and can be difficult to plug into the head. Mine was fine, other people had a little bit of trouble, some had a lot of trouble, a handful even had breakages. Apart from that? He's difficult to balance in Robot Mode until you figure out how to mess with his many, many ankle joints. You need to position his feet so his heels are as far backward as possible to offset the weight of his massive wings and head-tail. Some people have had trouble with the transformation, so I suggest watching a review from someone you trust.

    I think that's about it.
