Ah, I see. If that's the case, fair enough. I always assumed people were arguing from the perspective of accuracy, and if that was the case, many of them seemed hypocritical, which rubbed me the wrong way.

If people don't care about accuracy, then there really is nothing for me to say. For me, I'd rather something be accurate than look aesthetically pleasing and all in all, BA's is still far more accurate than the MPM, wonky abs and all.

Would it be great if the abs were fixed/angled down like they were supposed to? Of course. But as it stands, this figure is a significant improvement over the MPM in my book

To me: rear wheels transformation >> abs.

But I know some people are more concerned with the aesthetics than anything else.

Yup. I did a shop awhile back showing how, when angled down, the headlights line up perfectly with the waist, which is the correct position for the lights on the CGI model as well.

I can't help but wonder if Wei Jiang actually knows what the commentor was referring to a few pages back.

Oh those 2 abs are as flat as a board. Flat is justice in this case though.

(Let's not discuss about how the shape of the CG model's abs is supposed to be yet)

Actually do the wheels still transform or is it like an attachment you put on after you transform it

Yeah, the MPM had so many issues, but LT2 fixed the ones that were bothering me. So for me this is a difference between LT2 and WJ.
I don't care more about how cool something looks than how accurate it is to any on screen representation. With the abs sticking out it looks like he's got a gut, which really rubs me the wrong way. For me it's almost as bad as if his whole body was perfect but he had Bumblebee's face. At least that could be corrected with a part swap...

I was wondering about this too, actually. Like, what if they misunderstood and there is some leeway after all? That’d be a lot of commotion for nothing

Hey guys, I have a crazy idea. Lets actually wait for reviews before we go calling this figure any names, shall we? Let's take a step back and have some patience since I think we're collectively spiralling a little bit at this point.

So, in this way we got back to LT-02? Perhaps, this is the way, Wei Jiang's forcing us to buy tons of overproduced LT-02 ))

Buying LT02 has always been my fallback plan :-D
I am just curious about what someone was saying above: what if WJ did not correctly understand the question about the abs and answered incorrectly? Could this just be wrong-transformation-pics+big-misunderstanding?
    A man can dream :-D

I think people are extra frustrated because they went into all this trouble to improve the figure and then such a glaring issue doesnt get addressed...Also its something that came up during the production because the prototype was fine which makes it even more annoying

"Two steps forward, one step back" about sums it up. The current divide is between people who are satisfied by the remaining step forward, and those who are upset by the unexpected step backward.

I can get that, which I can agree with. MY issue is that it's accurate up to that point, and then they decided to change it, for whatever reason it might be; and in my opinion, really is a step back. If they can give an actual reason as to why they did this, not just "it's something structural" I'll be more open to it, but at this point of it, it feels like they changed something that might not be as big of a problem as they think. All that's needed is a hinge at the back of the firewall where it meets the window, so it can angle down. Just make sure there's enough space in a channel within body for the parts the headlights are on to do what they need to, so they can angle with the firewall. Idk, just feels like they're the ones blowing the supposed issue up more than it needs to be.

Just re-read the original post in Chinese, no it’s pretty clear they couldn’t engineer it to bend, whether this is because of tolerance, structuring, or making the transformation work, they didn’t go into detail. I’m less worry about the slant on the abs and more concern with how big those pieces are in relations to the rest of the body, though not enough to detract me from canceling.

Still....That doesn’t explain how the unpainted prototype that transformed did it....

Something somewhere changed. Perhaps the prototype broke so they had to reinforce that section, perhaps another change restricted the amount of space inside the torso, perhaps something else we haven't thought of.
