I will be preparing a file pack that you will be able to use on shapeways but personally i do not like working with their algorithms.

I am mostly self taught in maya but i have been using it in my everyday work for a few years now. I work as a 3D generalist

I prepared a video to show how I approach the subject and show a simple example

 

Here is an exmaple of using the 3D files to make a new character. The head and the weapon are niew designs

Would you add the shield? Still great work all around  

 

thats the version I would want most, I would want it to be e bit bigger though, say two heads taller than the size of that prime with the God Bomber attachments on him. but man its crazy no one has done Black Zarak like this.

 

Yes I plan to do the shield and the gin at some point. Possbile a small Zarak headmaster figure

 

Open And Play should be all over this as a follow up to their Galvatron.

 

That Black Zarak looks sweet. I love the new head and spear. The rest of the figure looks sharp in black.

@Printformers, if you have the time and interest, maybe you should do a crowdfund? See how much a print run is (be it 500 or 1,000 pieces), pack it in a sturdy foam/shipping case, and a generic box (normal grey/brown outer box, no artwork, I do not think most people care), shipping costs, and in your time and effort and give people a price. I think if you post on the boards, FB groups, and ask popular reviewers to give you a shot out, I think people will back you. On a self note, I would like it to be made in the size of DX9 Gabriel and Fans Toys TG, but this is my personal preference. I buy one and maybe the repaint if this could get off the ground.

 

This looks amazing! I've recently been looking at Scorponok options to go with my Thunder Manus and this is the most perfect for what I wanted

 

I'm trying to hunt down a Striker Manus

 

I went with a Delta Manus for that mold. Awesome figure!

Amazing!!! Is it possible for the arms to transform a bit?! Or is it part of the character to have the "same arms" in both modes?! I was thinking about adding one more segment in scorpion mode (3) and 2 in robot mode.

 

That black zarak is all sorts of badass.

 

I wish it was Titanmaster compatible...

 

Hello   There is an auction up for the black Zarak Transformers Black Zarak 3D printed Custom Transformable Figure | eBay

I am also recording the final movie with how to assemble the 3D printed files. If all goes well i will Publish it tomorrow.

 

I have finished recording the video on how to assemble the figure from the 3D printed parts. I will be publishing the video today. The DIY file pack will also be available today for 100$.

The pack will contain:
- All of the STL files that are needed to make Scorponock as well as additional parts for Black Zarak
- Detailed description for each part including print settings and design information
- You will be placed on a list and I will update the project in the future

Some of the updates I plan in the future:
- G1 based shield and the gun
- Marvel based Nebulan Zarak minifigure
- Fully rigged 3D model that will allow for animation
- Optional ratchet joints

Awesome. Totally would have been down on this to attempt a titan class print but my car needing $500 says differently.
