Yes, but in all honesty 99% of MP OP's have faux grills. The only one that I know of that has the same grill in truck and bot mode is the Magic Square one.

MP-44 just doesnt do anything really well to hide it.

Yes, they need to hurry up. Every time I see a picture of someone who has received it, that just makes me sad. I almost don’t even enjoy TE-01 now as I find his head weird when it wasn’t a problem before.

Maketoys Megatron does it for me. Really clean, looks like he could give OP a good fight, looks great next to TE.

Is it my imagination or does the V1 head on my V2 figure have a hint of pink to it?

It’s the reflection of the red off the glossy white on the face...but it’s not your imagination.

If any of yall bought from TF-Direct, they are selling the head separately. I paid $6, which includes shipping, to have it sent to me.

It seems like this figure was made specifically for people who can't stand panel gaps in their figures. Which is exactly why I bought him and DX9's Mightron over the Takara figures.

The pics of the new headsculpt convinced me to order this guy. I would like the first head more if I can paint it gray. Completely clueless tho, is airbrushing the only way to properly paint this?
    Would spray paint work?

I'm not convinced. I just covered the red parts and it still looks pink. Maybe someone at head painting station at the factory cut their finger.

May I ask where you got the MOTU figures? Super7 versions?

Spray paint could work if you mask everything carefully and you are careful when applying the paint. Practice light wet coats on some small similar sized plastic.

I brought him in the kitchen where we have a bunch of bright flourescent lights and pointed his face straight up towards the lights and away from his chest. Pink gone. YMMV.

Somewhat, but no more then how it was in the cartoon. About as much as the original. Tho, the aesthetic and classic movie feel and cartoon look are spot on. It's worth it. I'm so glad I got him. Ver.2 is apt. He's got differences that make him a version 2 in my book. I wonder tho.. Does V2 and V1 have different paint apps in the matrix chamber? Mine seems to have a bit more colors. I'll take a pic when I get home. Anyone able to take pics and show V1 and V2 matrix chamber? 400 pages and climbing!

This is actually the 2nd He-Man and Skeletor figures I purchased. My fiance loved them so much she insisted we hang them up, MOC in our living room. I got those weeks ago from Super 7 Website.

These I got today from BBTS. They did cost more than they did from Super 7 Website ($50 per fig) but worth it since they are really nice figures. :)

Mine arrived today, all lovely and cartoony, but sadly missing the rifle's battery cover - thankfully TFS-Express are on the case!

I think I actually prefer the original headsculpt, it makes Prime look younger, but it has a strange lilac hue so movie head it is. I wasn't expecting as much heft, but in hand he feels terrific. The paint is perfect and proportions are bang on. He's unbelievably well designed, I haven't been this impressed with a piece from a new third party company since Quakewave dropped.

From tolerances to minor (but important) things like ankle tilt, he's a work of art. The lines of the legs are absolutely bang on and he works perfectly next to Takara's Megatron. I'm itching to take some photos of the two going at it!

As someone who didn't see many original cartoon episodes growing up (stupid UK TV) I've never been a "toon accuracy" guy. With the UK comics giving us loads of different design takes depending on the artist of the week, I've always had a loose idea of how Prime should look. To this end MP10 is just as viable for your main MP Prime, all dynamic angles and handsome headsculpt, but this is G1 Prime ripped from the 'toon, no-nonsense, streamlined and iconic.

I'll probably get the upcoming Takara Prime if I can justify it (baby on the way so its tough) but from photos it looks to be a panel-laden effort and nowhere near as seamless as this piece.

    TLDR: Love it.
