To be honest I want to see bumblebee in this form, I think it serves him better for being a scout imo

I definitely prefer the Beetle. Cameros are cool and all, but I find them a bit generic (the newer ones, at least). VW Beetles are just so iconic, cute, and full of personality. It's a tougher challenge if we're comparing '60s Camaros vs. Beetles, I do love old muscle cars with that type of front.

As for what he should be in the new series, I think he should be a variety of vehicles. I don't think he should be limited to one specific type, model, or company. He can certainly be a Camaro now and again, but I really hope we break away from the Camaro being Bumblebee's "thing". That just feels too advertising-focused to me. Even Otpimus varies in types of truck (Peterbilt, Western Star, Marmon, and Freightliner). Ironically, a lot of people seem to mistake Bumblebee for a Mustang or a Charger anyway, so I'd argue him being a Camaro isn't necessarily that iconic culturally (just the imagery of him as a muscle/sports car). I like how Bumblebee had three vastly different vehicle modes in his movie (four if you count his Cybertronian mode). I hope they keep that variety.

Sorry Bug Bee, it's gotta be a 60s Camaro all day, every day. Gotta love a classic muscle car.

    My thoughts exactly.

    Yeah, i didn't know that...
And my poll is Camaro or Beetle, and that poll includes tons of other vehicles, so they're not the same.

I wouldn't call newer Camaros generic at all. And they do have a lot of personality. Sure the Camaros arent as cute as the Beetle, but they're badass with a little bit of cute thrown in. I will say that the 5th gen (07 RotF and DotM) has a lot more personality than the 6th gen (TLK) though.
As mentioned in a post above the Camaro is more recognizable for him now, as he's been one for 5 movies (6 if you count the 2 minutes of him being a Camaro at the end of his movie) and his TFP/RiD car is undobubtley based on a newer Camaro.
I've never heard people mistake his Camaro for a Mustang or a Charger, and i wouldn't call it advertising focused if he turned into an older Camaro.
I really like BB being a Camaro and Barricade being a Mustang as we get two rivalries in one :D
If only Cliffjumper was alive he could be a Firebird :(  (basically a Camaro under a different brand) which i would find fitting as Cliff as the same look as Bee

As much as i love his newer Camaro look, nothing beats the charm of a classic muscle car ;)

Prefer Beetle or smaller car. Bumblebee was always the small versatile bot that because of his small height could easier interact with humans and get into the places the larger bots couldn't.

I just don't see Camero Bee doing scenes like this

Bumblebee's character was built around him being a VW beetle and what that means symbolically. A camaro may look good, and that's all some people seem to care about, but it's not Bumblebee. Bumblebee is a small and friendly scout. Does anything about a camaro muscle car convey that?

Well, I'm biased but since a Camaro costs as much as a Ferrari where I'm from and I've seen Beetles most of my life, been driven in them, including one with one of those Porsche engine swaps.....I gotta give it to the Beetle. I don't blame anyone who likes the Camaro especially if you grew up with them, but to me they're just.......overly indulgent.

Camaro Bee isn't that much Bigger than Beetle Bee. Camaro Bee is 16 feet and Beetle Bee is 15 feet. And a first generation Camaro isn't much bigger than a Beetle.

Bumblebee wasnt all that big as a Camaro either. Just one feet taller. And he was the same height in his Camaro mode as his Beetle mode at the end of his own movie. He was still a small and friendly scout in the movies TFP and RiD, so him being a muscle car doesn't really change that.

I kinda wonder where a Camaro would cost as much as a Ferrari   They're overly expensive here in Norway (The newer ones anyways) but nowhere near Ferrari prices

I grew up around folks who fixed up classic cars often saving to be able to afford parts. So I understand the hobby isn't cheap and even a newer one will set you back. So in that way my broke ass will always have a soft spot for Bug Bee. He's the more affordable version. :)

Ahh,1980s furniture so tough it can even stand up to a Transformer parking on it. Bee tested, Bee approved.

Well first of all there is no such thing as a "small and friendly scout" though. Scouts are often capable soldiers that can move fast and hit hard and would be safe getting into a dangerous enemy situation, the original cartoon bio for Bee said he was a "spy and messenger", not a scout. But the cartoon and comics both failed to really represent him as either of those and his shtick became just "the guy that has a human friend", so you're absurdly wrong in pretending the VW Beetle meants any of that symbollically, because the original media did not ever actualy attempt to make use of that alt mode in a symbollic character design context.

Furthermore "Round friendly Bumblebee needs to be a VW beetle cuz theyre so round and cute" might've worked for the 80s character who was a silly little underdog and it might work in the Bee movie during the scenes where he's an amnesiac goofball, but the character's current persona in the franchise, for the last 12 years, is a young but fast and impressive fighter. He basically became what Cheetor was and it's what connects to children nowadays better than a dopey chubby friend. Look at Pikachu, he's equal parts cute and fearsome powerful electrical mascot.

But nobody is going to be seeing and taking seriously a VW Beetle racing into action. Camaro muscle car DEFINITELY conveys that sporty and reliable presence alot more.

I like the classic Camaro just fine, and I hope we get a SS figure of his post-credits body, but the Beetle is Bee. It's small, round, and cute just like him.

The Camaro to me represents the old hyper-violent warrior Bee who I've quite had my fill of. I want happy, charming little Bumblebee again.

There's no such thing as Transformers, either.

But that's what Bee is. Small, friendly, and a scout.

They took it pretty seriously in the Bumblebee movie.

The Beetle is cute, but the Camaro is also now iconic for the character.

Also we can see through the series that Bumblebee tried to look awesome and he was very sensitive to insults, even going out of his way to make sure he's a cool car.So the Camaro is a proof of that on 4 wheels if you will..
