The G1 reissue is still available at a lot of Walmarts. Just sayin'.

So now that we got the full real deal. Anyone interested in repaint? I'm kinda hoping for an accessory pack. Season 1 head, 86 movie damaged head. Jet pack. Spare Energon axe. Pistol.

 

Today I received my second unit from ShowZ (only six days to get to Spain), the head was fine.

I put some comparative photos of the first version with the improvements I made and the new one.

 

Already got a proper one....One that actually came with a trailer...That cost less then $50
Its tucked in the back of one of my G1 shelves.



Plus wouldn't TE-01 classify as the G1 specimen of Prime?

 

What did the trailer set you back and do you think that was a one off deal?

 

Got mine today.. but there's an ugly stain out of the box in the right knee. Any ideas on how to get rid of itM

 

Can't really tell what that is. You could try isopropyl alcohol to see if it's paint -- provided all the blue I'm seeing is bare plastic.

 

MY TE-01 and I are now in the same city! Tis but a matter of time now!

 

Still waiting for my tracking to update. It's been over a week and nothing.

 

It is a KO. I don’t normally buy KO but I figured it’s going with a 3rd party figure so what the hell. It was $65 shipped. I thought it was just the trailer but it actually came with roller and the spike figure too. I’m surprised with it. I’ve owned Takara’s mp-10 and this is a very good alternative. It doesn’t feel cheap, it’s painted has chrome rims and rubber tires. Very nice.

 

There aren't enough words to describe how awesome this figure is. LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than MP 10. MP 44.... you've lost this war, and lost horribly.

I know this is off topic. But I have to put it here, because well it's a relative Aesthetic thing.. hang with me Mods and Pals..
It will all gel pretty well here... and not in that Other thread...
I have been contemplating what it is about the TE01 V2 that makes me want something else to put next to him..

I want something else with that great Sunbow cartoon/realism Aesthetic and Transform Element engineering, proportions and how they make it all work. Sure, we have basically a one off, but I think there really is only 1 candidate outside of a reformatted MP36 Megatron.
It's definitely Ultra Magnus..

Honestly I remember when I first saw him. MP Magnus, I was a bit excited. He seemed like a giant Beefy Samurai..in armor.


But the more I see of him, and think about it.. I cannot remember the last time that I fiddled with him. Seriously. I posed him once or twice, set him on the shelf, but I feel no more interested and excited by him as I do Megatron or even Hasbro Starscream. It's weird. I mean, honestly ask yourself, when is the last time you fiddled with him out of pure joy? When you look at him on the shelf, are you satisfied with it's design? Have you love for this look? Let me remind you of the cartoon aesthetic...





It's important for TE to get the head sculpt correct..

From the side, the back trailer white beams were solid, not notched, or hollowed out.

Even the Magic Square legends class figure seems to capture that look I am wanting.

If TE02 is to be announced, my vote with my wallet to Transform Element is to produce a good cartoon accurate feeling MP Ultra Magnus, to go with my TE01. I mean, I want to be excited about that character again. When I was a kid, and Optimus was dying in the movie, I was really actually hoping that Ultra Magnus was the one who would take over. I liked Robert Stack in unsolved Mysteries and his voice for UM was pretty cool. I mean, it's no Peter Cullen, but as a successor, I kinda wish the Matrix Chose Ultra Magnus, over that of Hot Rod to become the next Prime.. I want that feeling again, that sense of wonderment, and excitement to fiddle with an Ultra Magnus that makes me feel like they captured his look in Plastic format, and he Transforms into a kickass truck too.
To me, any one of these alternatives be they statue or Legends class, seem to capture the look much better then the TT Masterpiece. If Magic Square can do it with a Legends class figure and capture the proportions of the toon model, then surely TE can give us a good Ultra Magnus. I hope that Ironstar takes that challenge. I really like his work on TE01 from what I've seen.


So, that is what I want, a cool Sunbow accurate styled Ultra Magnus, so I can have something else amazing to set on my self with my TE01.
This just doesn't feel right.. He's the Incredible Bulk!! I mean, it doesn't feel like the character to me.


Given how well Transform Element captured the interior of Optimus Prime's chest and Matrix storage area

I really hope they can capture the same with Ultra Magnus if they do him in the future.

I want a cartoon accurate chest unlike the mildly accurate MP Ultra Magnus.



Come on TE.. Follow this great figure up with a Figure we didn't know we needed, but somehow it is the figure we all want.
Please make TE02 Ultra Magnus. No armor, no tricks. just a good G1 Ultra Magnus. I want to see a bot as clean as TE01, but also has that slender and proportional look that we see can be done with Magic Square's Legends figure, and Statues that capture the look and feel in a way that the TT MP does not...

There's an MP speculation thread for this type of stuff. It doesn't have to be TE that does another MP Magnus. Any company could take a shot at this. Although I agree, I wish MP Magnus had slimmer proportions like the sunbow animation, he's way too chunky.

MP-44 isn't even out. The battle has yet to begin.

 

It is incredible how much improvement a great headsculpt can do to a figure
