I'm glad they made it here but 7 smartpost packages arriving at about the same time is ridiculous and super inconvenient lol. I'm hoping they figure out a more efficient system for the next wave of orders.

"Hasbro is trying to cut corners on the shipping I didn't pay for."

Did you know that HTS used SmartPost? I'm pretty sure BBTS and TFS use SmartPost as well if you pick the cheapest option. You get what you pay for...and you didn't pay for shipping.

The multiple packages is certainly a screw up on their end and they're going to have to sort that out because it's going to be absurdly expensive on their end.

HTS needs a cheap-to-mid range UPS option. Fedex (and especially fedex smartpost) are really unreliable in my area, which is probably a symptom of the rural west coast...it ended up taking like two weeks to get my Cog using the free method. Aside from the free one, the options I get are $20 and $29.99 to ship faster which is pretty absurd to ask for a $20 deluxe figure.

They also need a stack option for pre-orders if they don't think they can solve the multiple boxes issue.

Whoa. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. :(  I hope they fix it.

HTS used Home Delivery for me for the free shipping. I'm not the only one. Granted, that has more to do with proximity than anything else, but still... It wasn't always SmartPost. More often than not, I'd hear people mention HD instead. So, it's at least new to me to hear of it. My Spy Patrol came today...Home Delivery. (I was expecting SP. My local friend got SP.) So, said all of that to say this: Not all of their free shipping is SmartPost, they do indeed use Home Delivery as well. Plus, sending multiple items in the same order negates any savings SP might've afforded them.

Surepost is the midrange option. The customer can upgrade to Ground for $3.50 if they're a member of UPS My Choice. Surepost is the same idea as SmartPost, final delivery is handed off to the Post Office. Just be glad no one uses Mail Innovations (UPS) because it's the absolute worst. You don't get tracking for DAYS, only to find out it's like Amazon of old where they wait for the container to fill up for it to be considered "moving", mind you, it could sit there for WEEKS... I've never had a UPS MI parcel ship faster than 10 days and that was because I was the next state over. (Good grief, that's sad to say now that I read that. lol)

So, honestly, while the current options kind of suck, they're better than they could be. Pray they never decide to use UPS MI, you'll never want to order from them or get free shipping again.

Agreed. Though, I think they're switching to an old facility or staff or something. They used to ship out of Mechanicsburg (for me, at least) and they're now coming out of Breinigsville and Jonestown (where HTS/Pulse are supposedly based) and I noticed things worked better when they came from their more recent locations and not the Breinigsville location. They also used to ship in multiple boxes back then, too. They stopped that when they became the HTS we knew and liked, of recent times.

I can understand when Amazon ships multiple boxes (if you choose to ship them faster) because they're coming from different distribution centers, but this is one location. I wonder if there's a simple miscommunication at the facility that could alleviate all of this...

Whether I paid for it or not, HTS never once used Smartpost to ship a package to me. Every package I ever ordered from HTS was delivered directly by Fed-ex.

And like I said in a section of my post you neglected to quote: The free shipping won't be free forever. After this year, you either pay $50 to get free shipping, or make sure every order you place is above a certain amount. Paying $50 to get free shipping for an entire year is potentially a great deal for me, because I want to buy my figures directly from Hasbro. But, if the shipping itself isn't going to be reliable, I'll stick with Amazon. Which is the original point I made in my first post that you seem to have glossed over.

They never once used SmartPost for me either, until the April order shipped. My G2 Megatron, SS Megatron and SS Jetfire all shipped fast.

Right, they've got a year to figure it out before people start looking for other options again.

I finally got my SS 38 Optimus Prime today. Ended up being delivered by USPS after being handled by Smartpost despite my selection of Fedex Ground. My first purchase from Pulse was very quick and delivery only took 3 days. This order took longer to fulfill and took about a week in delivery, with it being stuck in transit in the same city not moving, and when it did it would hardly move. USPS handled it a lot better than Fedex did. What's with the drastic change in service quality between my two orders? It's hard to judge the qualities of a service when it's inconsistent, however you can judge it as being inconsistent in quality.

One thing that concerns me about Pulse is that they don't have the Battlemasters for sale. I had to go to Amazon for those. It would be nice to not have to go elsewhere for an entire size class of a toyline!

Just received Soundwave and Starscream from Pulse, shipped separately and delivered by two different fedex drivers.

No pins in the chest of this Starscream. Guess it was a hoax after all.

Boom. Pulled the trigger and just ordered me a sweet, sweet online exclusives Combat Megatron with the green zebra stripes and a Black Series Grievious with four dead Jedi's lightsabers and the god awful soft goods cape. :)  Hoping (D2?) Emperor Palpatine with throne chair will go up for sale soon on the Pulse? Around May 5?

That sounds like it will take a few weeks until you get your new one. At least with Amazon after a few clicks on their website, they will start sending you replacement pretty much after you print the label and drop the return in a UPS box. :p o_O

Exactly. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of other perks, but so far nothing has really stood out to me. The least I want is reliable shipping and the timeframe included.

It's not a year. It's 10 months, basically. Their first month isn't exactly ringing any bells.

My $10 Ironhide and Prowl finally showed up...unfortunately I won’t be home to enjoy them for a week and a half... . Fortunately, the local WM here is clogged with them...mocking me...each time I go there. Prowl IS a prick. :D

I've seen many people here talking about a 50% off deal. I'm currently enrolled in Pulse Premium, and I haven't seen anything from Hasbro about that.
