For what it’s worth, many of the Seige items that were sold out on pre-order are in stock for purchase now. Just picked up Prowl, Ironhide, etc. Ultra Mangnus is back as well as Soundwave and Starscream.

That’s a good sign for those not wanting to hunt in stores, Amazon, etc. and don’t mind a short wait after they hit the wild.

 

What about the person with 2 sons? Why not make the limit 3?

Ironhide and the rescue patrol are more of a "If I run into them and I like how they look" type of dealio for me, so i'll wait.

 

I only threw the 2 limit out there, because that seems to be their limit on the siege deluxes.

This is the new normal, mark my words. Last year was the same way. Literally all of Power of the Primes and the first year of Studio Series was available online up to Black Friday, when many of us scored amazing deals. Hasbro has finally realized that physical retail distribution is NEVER recovering in the US, and thus they are shifting to an online-focused distribution scheme for Generations and co. The makeover of Hasbrotoyshop into a collector's oriented store was the latest phase of their new plan.

 

I understand they've promised not to undercut their retailers ("competition") but if it really is becoming online only (and I agree that it will), then they should give us factory direct pricing, as well. We'd be far more apt to spend more and more if we could afford more and more.

Either way, it's a mess. If I have to keep going online to get these, then make it worth it. I have to give Walmart credit, here, they got Galaxy Force Optimus out with the quickness and they've been doing a pretty good job getting new stuff out to the masses as of late. It's saved me shipping, some gas (some, not a lot) and even some time. If they could do that ALL the time, even Target too, then heck, I could kick online to the curb. (Aside from preorders and whatnot.)

 

The only reason I purchased through Hasbrotoyshop was because of the discounts. I'd rather just use my Target Redcard to get the 5% discount or just patiently wait for sales/clearance to start happening.

The Siege line seems readily available and if the PotP line was any indication, just waiting for heavy sales towards the end of the year. I'm still a little sore that I drove around for months to finally pick up the Terrorcons for full retail price. Only to see them for around $10-13 at multiple online stores around Black Friday. Not to mention how cheap the Leader class PotP guys went for.

 

That's the thing. If people can wait, they'll be able to purchase them at lower costs. Unfortunately, a lot of "us" are so impatient, that we'll buy them at normal retail cost.
