Someone I know bought a pre-owned TF Prime War Breakdown, but the stickers are all scruffy or missing. As I never stickered mine up, I offered to scan my sheet for him, and let him arrange the printing of them. But when I scan the sheet it comes out black, or distorted from the light reflection. Does anyone have any tips as to how to scan it to make it clear? I have a pretty cheap Canon USB powered scanner, but can't remember the exact model. Thanks in advance.
"You pretty much can't scan metallic stuff and get it to look right. You would have to remake it." is what the artist that has made stickers for me said about scanning metallic stickers. the issue is also printing in that you need to print it on metallic stock, and have a transparent ink so as to preserve the metallic look.
Thank you for asking. I'll let the guy know it's a no-go on scanning the stickers. Thank you again. Phill
no issue man. if he wants, i can get the info for the guy who's done stickers for me, he just needs a flat pictures of the sheet and the size of the sticker sheet (unsure on his rates as i dont remember it), then he can find someone who can print it on metallic stock as the local company i use to print stickers can't print that.
Thank you for all your input on this. The main reason I was trying to help is that ReproLabels offer a set for the figure, but the shipping costs for a single set (to the UK) is a little high. Thanks again.
