No, more info will come out slowly for normies  . People in the group will get early access though, they'll also have more opportunity to give input.

And as I said, you'll have plenty of time to join before I'll be set to entertain outside designers, that part of the program is several steps down the road.

And if I'm being totally honest, I'm kinda waiting for your Jetfire and Hot Shot mainly. The original toys for those are nostalgic to me from personal experiences, whereas I know almost nothing about Scattorshot. Still though, looks very promising.

Have we hit the magic number for pre-orders? Do we have any more solid date than 1st quarter? I just ordered my copy today and I'm super excited for your work.

 

We have not hit the magic number to get the injector.

I haven't had much luck with sales since Christmas (only your sale so far this year). That is to be expected most people shot their wad on the holidays.

The plan for the future is to start offering other figures for sale on the shop, in a effort for the combined sales to eventually be enough to pay for the equipment to try ABS injection. At the moment I am working on an update of that "wolf-bot" model I showed on Facebook and Twitter before Christmas, and I hope to have it up for sale some time this week. In the next few weeks Uni-Bots will go out to the Test Program and I will start to offer them on the shop as well. All of these figures will be made to order and in resin without the option for ABS so I won't have to wait for more equipment to make and ship them. I hope to get the new orders out with a shorter lead time. Hopefully I'll be able to make enough money to get the injector and start production on Satchel.

 

Would it be appropriate to ask roughly how far you are from this? Matter of hundreds of units, tens of units? I'd really love for this project to succeed, encourage more traversal outside of the standard G1 MP lines, and for it to kick off so roughly seems unfair

 

I'd say another 250 units should about do it.

Although if I didn't promise to do the injection run (in hopes of getting enough sales for an injector) I'd start production on these next week. But alas, when you gamble sometimes you lose.

 

I trust this'll work. I'd gamble that once you put this out, your Hot Shot will sell much better. Get that reputation up and sales will skyrocket.

Scattorshot isn't interesting to me at all, but I might put down a pre-order if it'll help out for future Galaxy force releases.

 

Who knows, this might be a way to get Signal Lancer out.

 

So I just learned about this and think it looks awesome. Is this still moving ahead? Are there any updates? I just got Galaxy Meteor and wouldn't mind seeing more Galaxy Force bots updated. Backpack always needed better leg articulation

My funds are still quite low I haven't sold any pre-orders so far this year, so I'm using whatever money I can spare. The work is moving along a little faster now that I bought a new CNC mill. I haven't set a firm release date. But I hope to start shipping this quarter.

Also, not everyone who's ordered a Satchel has joined the Cold Constructs Test Program group. Remember if you ordered a Satchel before Christmas last year, you're entitled to some free prototype figures, all you have to do is join the group by confirming your purchase.
