For anyone else running into this issue, try a heat gun on its lowest setting ~8-10" from the joint, pivoting slightly for 10-15 seconds so that you're not concentrating the warmth on any one spot. Worked a charm for me with no ill effect.

 

The day I did not want it to arrive, it arrived. I guess I don't have to should my last coworker. It's not a big deal to him.

Me too, but if an exchange will be a lot of time and truble for either Oku or me, I might just not bother. I feel like I may be being a fickle douche for being a little unhappy with a couple of parts not tabbing together well and a dented up box. I don't know... Starving children in the world... First world problems and all that.
But I keep seeing pics people post where the beast mode is all tabbed together great and the tail and shoulder armor part are pretty flush and straight. Makes me wish I could get mine to do that.

Yeah I actually noticed that when fiddling with it a little while ago, and I did manage to get the tail to peg together finally but it still pops back out if I just lightly tap on the top.
Also still can't figure out how to get the shoulder armor and tail to all sit flush on top. One way or another, whether I have the shoulder part positioned higher or lower, there is a gap either in front of or behind that part. (pic attached)
Not a huge deal, but a bit annoying.

 

Watch the Robot mode thumb, I had the same issue until I was able to fully hide the thumb into the tail.

Upon multiple transformations, I concur that tabbing is a pain. I usually tab the dino skin completely before folding and connecting the two halves in place if that makes sense.

It could be so I hope your replacement is in better shape!

 

That torso hinge is brutal. I recommend just unscrewing him from the underbelly kibble before you first unslide it.

 

Arrived already in Vancouver from Amazon Japan. That is ridiculously fast shipping.

The backpack part on Megatron. I feel it will be a similar transformation if they made a mp BW terrorsaur.

Reading the few QC issues people seem to be having with panels, tabbing, and stress marks, is making me a bit nervous.
I don't want another Dinobot dilemma with Megatron.
If my copy has these issues, I'll be returning him to Ami. I hope they have store credit, because I'd wait until a reissue with those issues fixed.

Of course, I'm hoping my incoming copy doesn't have those issues.  

 

I suggest do what Wotafa does for the extension. Gripping where and how he grips it came undone pretty smooth. My only issue, as I doubt I'll change him back for a while (Besides Primal's these guys aren't as fun transforming as their g1 counterparts), it looks like it's something going on with my alternate faces. I think the grooves on the top need to be filed down some to better fit it's mate otherwise I can't get it securely on.

 

Megs is on my doorstep, and my shift ends in an hour.

 

Terminator Megs. It's one of those factory programmed chips and the die is epoxied, so if i want to make my own audio, I'm going to have to design my own board or pay one of those greeting card manufacturers to make me a batch of 50.

 

mine arrived today 2 days early with revoltech gambit. crazy day.
the dino mode skin plate immediately behind the upper thigh arrived not tabbed in. and have no idea how to re-tab it in from that angle.
i think thats what the comment above is referring to in making sure all the dino skin plates are tabbed before connecting the two dino halves .
anyway im gonna attempt a transformation and then retransformation back to dino to make sure the skin plates are ok and not broken.
that waist situation looks horrific and the torso lift sounds cringe too.

anyway the trex mode is sooo freaking awesome. one of the coolest looking things i've ever seen. i dont want to transform it but i gotta see what im dealing with here

 

The tail was like that for me too straight out of the box. Transformer him into robot mode to get a better feel for how all the joints work and now I can get it to line up just fine. I noticed that if I plug one side in too much, the other side will pop out.

Try plugging both sides in halfway and then gently push them both in at the same time.

 

People shouldn't be afraid to open him. The reports are unfortunate, but few. I'm reasonably certain yours won't break.

Only thing I'll be breaking is the sound barrier as I endanger lives by speeding home after work.
