If you look on page 2, I was able to get one of his two main weapons to store in alt mode. It's not graceful, and I still feel like they should have tried harder with him and a few of the other studio series figures to have better weapon storage, but it's something. Also, I haven't compared him with my 07 deluxe cause I got rid of it in like 2009. That was SO close to being an awesome figure, but the arms just didn't stay tabbed in.
Anyone have any advice on how to get this missing piece? I got it on sale on Target's website ($19 shipped), and they don't have any more in stock for a replacement (and "not available in stores"), so all I could do is get a refund, which then means overpaying the difference with another retailer for a new one. Looking at the opposite side, the piece just pops on/off, so it's not like I would need a completely reassembled figure. This sucks, because I was looking forward to this, since I missed out on the Leader class one way back when.
If you have the money then I’d say get another one cause it’s an awesome figure. You could even keep this one and make a junker with no kibble or repaint as a desert version or something!
Or find somewhere that has him in stock, buy it, and return the one with the missing piece to the new store. Every store has the same UPC for this guy, and either way, it's getting sent back to Hasbro.
Not necessarily. Walmart would probably just put it on the shelf for someone else to buy and be disappointed in.
Guys guys guys, if you have an issue with these toys simply call Hasbro's (wonderful) customer service. They'll listen and take care of you, all you'll need is the toy in hand and the receipt, I believe. I believe at most they'll ask for photos of the issue (If I remember correctly), but usually they'll just send you another toy in the mail if you're nice and explain things clearly.
yesterday i got brawl and after fidling with him found that bOTH weapons can be stored between his legs also wht could probably fix the problems of the turret not being able to rotate in both robot and vehicle mode but, well im not brave enough to do it yet(heat the flat head pin and raise the turret about 2 or 3 millimeters should allow it to rotate in vehicle mode, and because the cannon even if it has a tab it isnt that deep, it would be able to be raised separatedly from the plate the arms are connected to, when in robot mode giving it also that option, ALSO tried getting the arm panels on the back where they connect to the cannon and it kinda works but the back treads are in the way but if it were about 2mm farther from the back they would be just perfectly aligned, so again the same trick, also there is stliin enough space to keep the secondary turret and even the rest of the arm panels(that are held b a pin as well) be folded so that would fix everything wrong with the mold....still not brave enough to do it a my hands are not steady enough to use that precisely a soldering iron and i really dont wanna risk it, also i have had bat experiences taking out regular pins as well so yeah, im ok with brawl as it i)) anyway tomorrow i will take good pictures of it, te weapons one just have to find the proper angle and they both fit hope someone with an spare brawl or one already thinking of customizing it tries that of the soldering iron and backpack panel mod, just ask me and i will guide you ....if only they werente so expensive here i would buy another one and to the mod right away
basically like this, they will be somehow visible from the sides but hey this is better than having them on the top, note, technically you can leave the Gatling and just get the claw inserted upside down but i like how the Gatling alone looks on the top turret, the weapons do not rattle or fall off thankfully
now about the mod, again if i could heat the pin and slide the turret part just enough for it to clear the front also for the backpack, the piece bends out because of the position of the front treads but if it was just a bit farther away(something the pin mod would allow) it would have enough clearance, AND if you see, there is enough space for both panels BUT, because of the way the arms transform, the panels that cover the shoulder sin vehicle mode must not be glued, instead one would have to tab the back ones on the top turret and move th panels away or just altogether partsform int to allow the shoulders to transform(i said about using the upper turret just to not feel like true partsforming)
When I was there, if you told them it came broken or incomplete they put a claims tag on it and it went back to the warehouse for a store credit.
Really digging Brawl. Liking it more than expected and those forearm covers aren't even that noticable. Love that fucked up silhouette. Edit: damn it. Just realised I didn't deploy the missile pods for this pic
Got Brawl, and... I'm really surprised how much I like him. Pictures make him seem really janky and panel-y and... Yeah, he kinda is, but you don't really notice it in person. Bot mode is just a cool looking robot. He feels like a big bruiser and I love it. Tank is pretty clean, though I do wish there was better weapon storage. And a rotating turret. Transformation... Well, I haven't transformed him much, but it's nice to have some good complexity in a figure. As for issues, I really don't have much to complain about aside from aforementioned tank mode issues. The biggest thing is that I wish the turret was telescopic so it could collapse for robot mode. But from most angles, you don't really see it. Ankle tilts would've been nice, but you can untab the feet to get some forward foot motion, which is surprisingly useful for some poses. Also, I love the head. It just screams Bayverse Decepticon, and I love it. The whole bot mode screams Bayverse Decepticon, and I think that's great. Great figure. Very happy.
Bought Brawl on a sale. It’s like after 11 years of thinking, Hasbro finally figured out how to get his chest and head right... And then remembered he needed arms, legs and a vehicle mode and rushed those in. I don’t hate him though, he’s certainly more movie accurate than past attempts and not as much of a hassle to transform.
May i know where he can be purchased on sale? Kind of underwhelmed by him and might wait for the eventual os ko version...
Sorry for not replying earlier, I rarely log in here anymore. It was at Kapow Toys, but the sale was probably over already before you asked the question.
So I've got a qc issue with mine I haven't heard about. The collapsed head assembly won't stay tabbed into the underside of the tank. It was so lose it just falls out. You can't really see the tabs go in when you close it up, but I fiddled around for a while to make sure I was getting it. I think I need to mess with the front tw tabs also because the side panels don't stay connected either. Bot mode looks cool. I'll have to wait until I can actually get the tank to stay together before I can judge that mode.
