Now I have an idea for Mario-themed redecos of the Studio Series Constructicons.

Long Haul: Wario
Rampage: Waluigi
Scrapmetal: Koopa Troopa
Hightower: Chain Chomp
Scrapper: Hammer Bro
Overload: Magikoopa
Scavenger: Wiggler
Mixmaster: Paragoomba
Devastator: Bowser

 

I never noticed that. But the yellow bulldozer looks a lot like the rampage leg model which was yellow on Devy.

 

I have to imagine that yellow Rampage will happen. Studio Series lends itself to much fewer mold reuses than most lines, so they use what they can even when it's not ideal, so a simple recolor as this seems like a sure bet.


...then again, they did make Crankcase using the "wrong" mold.

 

Considering they have to combine, all the constructicons have looked really great so far. I can't wait to see what they're going to do with the rest.
I also like how chunky long haul and scrapmetal are. They're a little more streamlined and simplified than their concept designs, but in a good way.

 

Is it murder when they're battling in a war?

 

I thought he would be taller not just beefier. It doesn’t matter because I’m only buying him to be merged eventually.

 

I h8 the live action movies but i love the toys... i h8 how they designed such amazingly intricate robots that took 10+ years to make close to accurate toys of and I keep buying all the new versions which supports paramount and bonaventura to continue making god awful movies that make me roll my eyes...

 

I loved the RotF voyager Long Haul, some real sentimental attachment to it, but I cannot wait for the SS version, it improved on an already fantastic figure/design.

Oof! the new one look so nice, rotf long haul haven't a lot of default except some proportions... but the studio series one... MAMA MIA!!!

yea, the only default of the rotf version was the proportions, and that problem was not so disapointing, but this one ( at first look ) look so nice and awesome, and the fact that it can combine to form devastator ... it's a dream expected since the rotf line which come true...

Oh man that longhaul really is a chunky chunkster. I see several people mentioning how he was one of those super massive mining dump trucks, i think we'll get our fill of that with overload down the over-road, so im pretty content with the size of Longhaul.

The fact we're getting screen dead-accurate versions of these characters that also make the big dev is super exciting, and im excited for when they all finally start popping up over here in Canada. Im really interested to see how in the hell theyre going to pull off Mixmaster! Has there been any photos of him yet?

I was JUST playing ROTF game, and thought it\'d be awesome to have decent Long haul toy. Big, strong figure. I\'m happy.

This guy looks really good. I am quite impressed. Remember being addicted to playing as him in the video game and this toy is spot on. Maybe I will buy Rampage too because I already want Hightower and Scrapmetal? Might as well form Devastator.

I would buy that Mario Haul in a heartbeat, by the way. Colors look bizarrely good.
