    That’s really strange.

    There was some conversation earlier in this thread about people getting refunds from AJ after the fact for overcharging import fees. Hopefully that’s coming for you guys.

    I’m inclined to outright dismiss all the reports of ‘a garbage figure’ from anyone in Hong Kong or China. I swear we’ve heard the same thing after every release; it’s like a broken record at this point. I just think collector’s over there have no idea what they’re doing and upon encountering the slightest bit of friction they immediately tear the entire figure apart and then rush to the internet to cry apart it.
    Impatience, clumsiness, willfuly ignoring instructions, handling moving parts at the furthest point from the joint and forcing things to move or connect is not going to produce great results.

    I haven’t even requested a shipping quote from AE yet. I’m oddly not in a huge rush for Megs. Even though we’ve been waiting for awhile I can still remember the exact moment I saw the pics of his grey prototype which dropped my jaw through the floor at work as if it were only last week.
    @Booster Gold, how much was your EMS quote? I’m gonna be shipping 2 Megatrons + 5 smaller figures so I know I’m in for quite a hefty sum.

    So we are all paying the same price for the figure, but import fees are ￥1175, ￥2,975 and ￥5,413, to go to Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto respectively. Makes no sense to me.

    I’m not worried YET about Megatron after one report.

    People kept talking about how delicate an breakable Cheetor was but I never had an issue. Admittedly I am overly cautious, though.

    Wait you're based in Calgary too? That's LESS than what I got charged on import fees. HOW.

    That said Amazon Japan DOES tend to refund for overages on import fees so we'll see.

    But you'd think they would over-quote consistently, no? Right now it just looks like they pick a number based on their mood...

    what a weird way for Amazon to do that stuff, must be their algorithms and what not. Oh and my Amazon JP now says shipped! pretty minor delay

    I’m in Canada and my credit card has 2 different authorizations on it?

    They are just authorizations right now, but they are for different amounts (345 and 376 CAD)

    Is this normal from AJ? I’m hoping only 1 turns into an actual charge but seems odd.
