I'm fine with EE because there's free shipping past a certain threshold. It takes forever and I do worry about the parcel surviving the trip, but they pack like Fort Knox and I'm saving upwards of $30...

Well the tax thing was going to happen eventually and I just started preordering recently because it is getting harder to find things past wave one in stores. I've always considered the BBTS up charge to basically be a convince fee for not having to keep checking stores to see if they got new shipments in and then leaving the store empty handed. Plus I cut them a little slack because they are a small business, with a smaller staff than most ecommerce websites. So basically I'm not competely cutting ties with them and I am still willing do business with them in the future.

Oh, they're not as small as you'd think. No...

Well, a million in revenue is fairly big business, but not particularly significant profit. I’d estimate they are upcharging an average of about 10% on their products, meaning their profit is in the hundreds of thousands, at best, not taking into account overstock. These are pretty thin margines. I wouldn’t want to be in this business.

That Glassdoor review reads eerily similar to reviews I've read about D&H Distributing here in Harrisburg. I did _not_ like working at D&H.

They have to do more than a million. My amateur hour business did $5K annually and I didn't even have a functional site or carry a fraction of the product lines.

I feel like we should stop crying over taxes that we were supposed to pay to begin with. Make sure you claim online purchases in your upcoming state tax returns

I've had some concerns with how EE packs things, but I still like to compare with them, also check them for sales. I got my HMR Xabungle from them last Black Friday for 70 with free shipping. That was a sweet find. BBTS has some more user friendly options, and for now is easy to cancel PO's. Also PoL is convenient. I can take some of the pain of paying sales tax, and held off on shipping stuff that can sit there for 30 days or more (though paying 4 bucks extra a pop each time). Speaking of POP's they are usually a dollar cheaper than EE, there is that.

Okay guys, we all know the internet taxation topic is a hot button one, but please keep the conversation more tuned to BBTS stock and the like.

I recently got some store credit with BBTS. Does anyone know if it will automatically be applied to a previously placed preorder when it comes in, or do I have to wait for a subsequent purchase/pre-order?

I was more surprised by what they considered not mint... It was two scuffs on the bubbles of the boxes. I pulled them out of the case and my jaw dropped. It was like old school BBTS where they actually cared about run of the mill packaging condition, unlike today when the normal price packaging is bent flaps, etc. (My poor wife's Pops...some of them have come in REALLY questionable condition from BBTS. Bubbles starting to detach, top flap bent up on the corners, more akin to subpar...still charged regular price.)

EE has cancelable preorders, last I checked (I could be wrong though...) and BBTS basically has these two pluses: POL and 3rd party. Otherwise, other stores are beating them with just the free shipping option.

As for BBTS and stock levels, as Yaujta requested, anyone have an idea when we can expect Big Powered to hit? I know people in Japan have received invoices while others have received shipping notices. I'd imagine BBTS will be among those, soon... Partial impatience, I admit, but also...It's $160.00... Kind of need to know moneywise.

IIRC, they automatically use the store credit, first and then apply any other payment methods you have attached to your account. (PayPal payment agreement or credit/debit card.) At least, that's what they did with my last store credit.

So I just got store credit from that last order that didn't arrive after 5 months. What I'm going to spend the credit On, I don't know.

Well, they have a pre order for that Dengar figure you wanted

    :confused2
Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm so sorry that your package went missing, really bites especially when it's something you've been waiting so long for. As for the store credit, maybe a siege figure?

That's ok, I'm going to try an alternate solution for Dengar.

I think that is wise. I'm disappointed for you, I know you were so looking forward to getting the gang together!
