that's the process. Grab a box of q-tips, a squeeze bottle of alcohol, and a tv show to watch.

    netflix and skill

This is going to be my last post in this thread, as I do not wish to overtake and/or de-rail this thread from Shoujax any further, however all I did was take my bottle of Isopropyl alcohol, poured some of it into the bottle's cap, took Q-tip #1, and just started rubbing away at a quick pace and applying as much pressure as I could. Lots of loud squeaky noises, and the Q-tip slowly began turning a gray/silver color, and as soon as no white could be seen on that side of the Q-tip I switched to the other side, and repeated. 2 and 1/2 Q-tips later, Soundwave's tape-deck portion no longer had any battle damage left on it. Soon as I was finished I took a paper towel, and gently wiped off any remaining alcohol residue from Soundwave, let him sit for about 5 minutes, then I reapplied the gold paint to his tape-deck "arrow", and gave him red eyes while I was at it. And that's how he ended up looking like he did in the picture I posted.
That was my process, and as stated I'm not going to post any further in this thread, so if anyone has any other questions for me about Siege Soundwave, PM me.

This is awesome! I ordered Tamiya x-27 clear red, after seeing this. cant wait to try this mod to his eyes and removing the paint. I wanna put a clear metallic reprolabel over the purple decepticon symbol to make it stand out more

Ya didn’t hijack. Ya actually helped. I’m gonna try again but that paint is unbelievably stubborn. I’m even using 99%

You need to scrub it with the q-tip. You scrub and keep scrubbing until the q-tip is grey. Switch to a new one and keep repeating until it's clean.

I think not all Siege battle damage is created equal . Megatron gave me no trouble, but the silver paint on Optimus required sanding to remove . Ironhide came off in seconds, too .

I agree. My Megs cleaned up fairly quickly, but Screamer's paint didn't come off even after scrubbing forever.

anyone figured out a good match for the gloss black on the legs? because we're clearly not getting that battle damage off without taking the paint with it x.x
