I prefer movies with more robot fighting action and less teen drama, so I'd go with the Bayverse.

Wasn't the entire human plot of ROTF literally just Sam and Mikayla trying to see which one of them had to say "I Love You" first?

And that's been the real problem with the Transformers movies from the very beginning. I remember how the comics writers went out of their way to try and explain why certain things from the first movie were now 'different' in Revenge of the Fallen. Then the third movie came out and screwed up everything all over again. As did the fourth, and the fifth.

(Despite that, if I did do a sixth movie myself, I'd reveal that Megatron and the Fallen planned to betray each other all along. Megatron actually intended to wake up Sentinel Prime to kill the Fallen once he was no longer 'useful', while the Fallen had all along secretly intended to use that doomsday machine to wake up Unicron (that would kind of makes sense to me). :p . And then we would finally get a proper Optimus/Megatron team-up (after a few hiccups) against the ultimate baddie of the movies. I'd have Megatron die a hero, this time. And end the movie (and hopefully, the series) with Optimus saying something noble about redemption (and he won't just be referring to Megatron - especially if it turns out to be a good movie.):) .

I don't really mind more fighting, as long as the story was well written and directed (also, I'm not a big fan of shaky cam). I mean we have games with better quality writing and a more logical continuity than most of the Transformers action movies.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking at the Transformers movies' box office figures, I think a sequel to the Last Knight is a bad idea, right now.

Paramount should continue making lower budget (though better) Transformers movies, and try to win back the the audience's support, goodwill and trust, before they try something 'epic' again.

And they really really need to make it clear that Bumblebee is something different from what came before (And the people who have been watching it clearly agree, We need to spread the word). And they'd better start promoting the Knightverse ASAP. (A new story, a new universe - from the director of Kubo and the Two Strings AKA NOT the Bayverse.) That may get more people's attention.

I mean, that was definitely PART of it but not as big a part as you’re trying to imply.

    Nothing weird about that!

I'll take a well written teen drama over a director making a female version of himself the "sexy female supporting character" for the "horny irritating male lead"

So would I, in a vacuum. But if the second movie is full of awesome action and special effects, I'll take it.

They did say that Bumblebee 2 would have more action.

Oh god no. I enjoy and still like the first three films for the most part. But AOE and TLK really killed it for me and Lorenzo's whole back and forth is getting really irritating.

I'm ready for a rebooted main Transformers film. Let Bayformers die already and let a new story take place.

Yes. And in fairness, have Seth MacFarlane to direct it.

I don't mind more action, but I'm wary of more 'Bayhem'.

I see it as the only chance I have for more robot dragon knights, so I vote yes unless we get more knight dragons in studio series then no

    No.

And given the number of people who voted, I think it's safe to say that a majority of the fandom want the Bayverse to cease its existence.

I'd like a direct-to-video, animated, 1-hour film just explaining how it ends. Spending any more on that series would be a box office bomb.

I don’t think it will get one and I don’t think that it should, but part of me wants to see Bayformers brought to a conclusion in the most insane way possible. And I’d love to see what Bay does with Unicron.

Of course, there doesn't even need to be a reboot as long as Bay gets his rest and a new director with a different vision takes the reigns. They make their movie, which in this case would be TF6, in the same continuity but they focus less on the grand scheme that Bay likes and more on smaller individual things like Travis did with Bumblebee. That way, we're all happy. The people who want a new take on things are happy, and the people who like the Bay-directed films and their continuity are happy as well. Both birds killed. One stone lost.
