I enjoyed his video and testosterone-laden bravado, however I cringed when he continually blew vape smoke all over the figure. My initial thought bubble reaction was "WTF are you doing?!?"

I wonder why FT didn't include the metallic eyes on the X version. Those eyes look SO much better! Maybe you can buy a replacement head to get those eyes sometime down the line.

I also enjoyed the video. But in the future, I think if I buy something that’s been previously opened, my first question will be “ Did you vape on this figure?”

In that guy's defense, with display cases like that and the collectables he had in them, he almost certainly has enough $ that replacing them is a non-issue. Wont deny him that.

Yeah I feel like the metallic eyes are something that really made fanstoys figures stand out. Hoodlum didn't have them either so I think they might be moving away from doing them, which is a shame. Did Quietus have them?

I guess I'm taking one for the team and ordering a set of insignias. I think I can color match it.

1434 in from TFSource. It looks fine but frankly I don't think it really stands apart from the original deco.

I was starting to feel the red on FT-10x was a little dark until I stumbled upon this image and found it quite interesting. I added my own FT-10x figure on the left. I started to play back an episode and noticed it is much more well done that I had initially thought. Some scenes do show a darker red at times IMHO. I feel a darker red Autobot logo that matches the backpack may look better. In regards to the eyes, I think they catch the light really well. I do not have the original to compare though.

So what is the final verdict? Is there actually white paint or is it just a metallic white fleck in the plastic? Or a clear coat of some sort? If it really is white paint, will that truly prevent it from yellowing over time?

No way to answer the yellowing question. Even white paint can yellow. It's definitely not metal flake in the plastic.

well, I got mine yesterday and overall I am very happy with it. I have never owned FT-10 before so this is my first exposure to this mold. It looks really good and it feels fairly good as well. That said I do have some niggles. The finish is not all that "premium" or whatever...I mean it's there but it is very subtle. My wrist joints range from kinda loose to fucking flops-ville. Lastly, he just does not feel very sturdy on his feet. I am worried one day I will head upstairs and he will be sniffing my bedroom carpet.
Do any of you guys have stability issues with this mold?

Yeah the feet's design really doesn't help its stability. After putting him in a stable pose I'm not too afraid he is going to do a shelf dive, but finding such a pose wasn't as easy as I wished.

20190327_112931.jpg Well, my FT-10X arrived, but I havent opened it. I'm thinking it will be more valuable if I just keep it sealed. The joy of collecting. :cry

Just enjoy your collection and open him up. Don’t understand why you wouldn’t. Plus he’s a Fanstoys product and a rare one at that and an “x” Version.... he will retain value opened or sealed, if that’s your thing.
