Frankly seemingly nothing changed. Can you specify how the add-on is like, just see a chest armor there.

Aren’t the shoulder pieces different, too? Seems different to me anyway.

pretty much that plus a backpack and shoulder stuff. like i said i think it adds too much mass to the bot. which in turn looks kind of weird and it takes away from the mold if you ask me.

i commend the effort no doubt but im just not feeling the way the bot looks.

also dont get me started on his alt.

That fusion cannon reminds me of his TFA one.

Just got this guy today, and I can’t stop fiddling with him, he’s great.

Only problem is, he’s raised the bar so high that I feel like future figures are gonna suffer in comparison. Now I want a Starscream with swappable boob windows, shoulder vents, wings, and null rays.

Can anyone compare this figure with the Mech Planet Optimus Prime? Thank you in advance!

Neat. But it would’ve been better if it was designed for the original figure.
I believe that was the direct homage when he reappeared in the comics. Although turns out it was a toolbox.

Picked this guy up off the shelf today since I haven’t messed with him in awhile, only to find that the shoulder hinges have cracked on both sides of both hinge.

Anyone else have this issue? Im having a hard time believing it’s from usage since I’ve only transformed him a few times. Must’ve been really tight and finally popped from the stress after some time passed.

You don't need to worry. I have these exact cracks on quite a few of their tfs (like Onslaught's lower leg panels) and they really don't affect anything.

I really like the look of this set but as far as I can see, it's only a Shapeways set and I don't have time for that. Too bad.

Got mine this past Tuesday. Transformed him once to tank mode and back .. and yes, I've got those cracks as well on one side (the right side).

Think it's due to having to move the hinges down for transformation. Not going to do that again, although that means the arms aren't pegged in in altmode. Bit of a tolerance issue. Only solution would likely be to shave the rotating part.

I have those exact same cracks and they havent gotten worse since I got him. I'm not worried about them. And if I notice they are getting worse I'll use some extra thin model cement and "close the gap"

I'm almost afraid I'll jinx myself but I don't have any of those cracks (yet). Maybe I haven't had it long enough? Received it at the end of February.

    Knock wood and fingers crossed...

I have the same cracks on mine.
Dammit IF, just after you sent out replacement parts for Tarn.

I just got this figure today and it’s definitely one of my favourites. Right now it’s my top contender for legends scale figure of the year.

I have DX9 Optimus and Magic Square Toys Optimus, but I find that these two don’t match the aesthetics of the IF Tyrant figure as Tyrant has much more sculpted detail.

I found that Year of the Rooster Optimus Prime is a good match for IF’s Megatron in G1 form.

Megatron is even slightly taller than Prime, which is how I always envisioned it.

...hybrid-style prime is a great figure; dated, for sure, but totally a mini-masterpiece in the truest sense of the term...
