I love Siege, however I also like some of the studio series figures.
When it comes to the SS line, I'm just picking up my favorites, and ignoring most of them

Studio Series. Seige looks alright but I feel those characters have been done to death.

SS finally gives us nice quality designs that capture the onscreen look and very nice quality figures. Great packaging as well.

I might have gotten into Seige if the toys didnt look cheap and have all that silver messy paint on them. I havnt bought any, and reading about them I hear the quality is ok, but I dunno, just not for me.

Both but Studio Series is slightly better. I am skipping the next wave if siege but I find SOMETHING in every new SS wave

I was born in '77 and grew up with G1 but I like the movie aesthetics better.

At this point, SS. I kinda see Siege as a way to get better figures for my general CHUG collection.

Theirs no real point in keeping it open tbh. Nothing would change in terms of results. (I.e Siege curb stomping SS) but I can wait a while for last minute votes I guess.

I voted for Siege since it's the line I've been actively collecting. I will say, however, that Studio Series has some pretty cool figures. I actually bought SS-38 Optimus the other day, but I don't think I'll be collecting that line. My main motivator for buying SS-38 is that I really enjoyed the Bumbleblee film, so it's more of a memento piece than anything.

This year, the Transformers lines really pissed me off. So neither.

.....OK, I've bought a couple of Siege toys. But to elaborate, they've taken away what I like most about Transformers: turning my toys back and forth between 2 really awesome modes.

Siege: I learned something about myself this year! I don't care for Cybertronian designs. I never want to change them...any of them... into vehicle mode.

Studio series: the same old gripe so I'll save you from it. HOWEVER! I am super envious of some of the nice alt modes. If I DID buy SS, they would spend an awful lot of time in car mode..

So for me, Transformers fails on principle.

I'm a fan of both of these lines. While they have their problems, I must say, I am quite fond of the figures I have from both of hese lines, so expect me to get more!

Siege is excellent. I have little love for the Bayverse, so Studio Select automatically falls in second place.

Studio series. It's giving us a lot of stuff we haven't seen before, or doing it better than before. Siege is just G1. Again. But with things that make it slightly different.

Agreed. Couldn't of said it better. I don't really like the cybertronian modes as well.

But the Siege toys are barely cybertronian. With the exception of Soundwave and Starscream they are G1 modes with the slightest bit of cybertronian influence.

If we're ignoring the fact that one is G1 characters and the other is movie characters then Studio series because it doesn't have ugly battle damage.

I think both are for a specific niche of fans. One rewards longtime fans of the movies with goodies like Leader Class Blackout, while Siege is for the old school G1 fans.

Honestly despite not having bought a Siege toy, I have to give the edge to Studio Series. Siege is really just another G1 classics toyline, and considering how gluttonous Hasbro is for evergreen these days since even their beloved Bay films stopped printing money, they’re not that unique or anything. SS on the other hand is like I said, a reward and wish list attendant for movie fans, and deserves a lot of credit for giving even the most obscure characters like fucking High Tower and Overload legit toys after a decade.

You’re gonna have the generation of fans who grew up with the Bay films who’ve never had so much love thrown at their favorite thing, and you’re gonna have the crowd that hates the Bay films to the core. So like I said, different niches, I’m sure Siege is wonderful for the fans who’ve been around for 35 years and never gotten a good G1 toy.
