Nah, that must've been someone who actually works for the factory or TT. There was a trailer for MP-44 in the background too, which is weird as he's definitely being produced in Vietnam. Maybe the photo comes from someone in Japan, who was sent a final version of MP-43 to check, as well as an initial test shot of MP-44.

Is that Chinese or Japanese or Vietnamese on the piece of paper? @oku?

 

These are from China. The story was some factory staff got a few for his friend and the friend decided to sell them.

TT still lists 44 is made in China.

Huh, so I guess that’s why @Phamduc wasn’t able to get hold of a test shot then? Guess his factory worker friends in Vietnam weren’t in the know if they thought MP-44 would be made there.

It occurs to me that, like in 2017, I'll start April with a MP Megatron flying over from Amazon Japan to my doorstep. (I still would have preferred that BW Megs meet his original release date though, cute parallels or not!)

I wonder which April Megatron we'll all be eagarly anticipating in another two years time? Personally, I'd like it to be Armada. Or maybe a Transmetal 1 Megatron, that's my preference for BW Megatron.

Actually, my preference for BW Megatrons is probably
1)Transmetal
2)Original
3)Beast Machines (Who could be a twofer, if they threw in a diagnostic drone)
4)TM2, and finally,
5) Optimal Megatron, who is a boring headswap, but that would make him an easy inclusion if they got far enough down the Primal list to make OpOp.

What does everyone else think the next MP Megatron should be?

 

Honestly only other Megatron I would truly like to see a MP of at this moment would be Armada. I would like TM and TM2 Megs however I would prefer they at least complete the Season 1 Beast Wars cast before digging into Season 2 and 3 upgrades.

As an experiment I put another MP-43 in my cart at AJ and this time the import fees are around 3500 Yen instead of over 5000 Yen like my original preorder.

I believe someone said on here that they charge you the import fees on the original price you preordered at and the import fees don’t go down as the price drops. So I may have preordered before the 30% price drop kicked in and that would explain why the import fees are so high. I usually get a refund on import fees a few weeks after getting the item so I’ll keep an eye on it. I’m expecting to get around 1500 Yen refunded this time.

 

My import fee deposit was 2975 yen on the 23506 order price to Alberta

 

So one of the things that still troubles me to this day, and the reason I seriously was hoping for a review, was about his overall size.
In this picture Megatron looks big, glorious, beautiful and huge. His head is literally almost as big as Primal which is absolutely awesome.


But then in this picture (with Dinobot) , Megatron is pretty much the same size as Dinobot, which is kind of disappointing because it would make him a lot smaller then the first picture makes it seem.


And in this picture with Primal, Megatron looks much much smaller than he does in the 1st picture, where his head looks bigger than Primal's entire body.


In the first picture Megatron looks absolutely huge, when compared to Primal. In the rest he looks....average sized. Was the first picture just a forced perspective, for the sake of making Megatron look bigger than he really is and more enticing? If so, then I am not gonna lie, I'm gonna be a bit disappointed.
I just wish we had some actual images/reviews of him... it would make his purchase easier to justify. Since I still haven't bought him yet, and am afraid of being too late to.
