    Yes and no.
When the leg is straight, the thigh piece doesn’t affect the stock front skirts since they don’t touch each.

But when you bring the leg up, the stock front will be affected due to the front bulk of the thigh pieces b/c they need to extend and be flat against the leg.

How funny, came across a YouTube review for the Flame Toys IDW Optimus Prime model kit and my GCreations Ultra Maxmas with shoulder add-on pops up......see @ 2:00 time line. Don’t know if the reviewer knew?

Great looking kit, I’ll need to get it :)

    Edit: Link now working

Ughh... the handle on one of my rifles broke off. Any one know GCreations’ contact info (email) to request a replacement?
    Thanks

The other option that I have been showing is more of a “G1 inspired style”

Would anyone be interested in this figure? Thinking of selling mine, it's complete with the box and accessories. Asking $150 for it. Great figure but I don't mess with it much and gotta do some downsizing.

    UPDATE:
Wow, it’s been quite a while since i posted any updates. For those following my progress, sorry haven’t had much time finish the dress-up kits with paint as I last mentioned and intended. And this is despite having final prints ready back in April. Unfortunately still won’t be able to do.

So I’m selling the kits as is (no paint) for anyone still interested. I only have 4 copies, so PM if you want one and let me know which design style is your preference for the front crouch/ front skirts.....either the IDW inspired (shown on my previous post) or the G1 inspired (shown on all my other post).

The kit includes the all waist parts, already assembled with the necessary screw/pin hardware and the snap-on leg covers as shown in the pictures below and per my videos. The video also show how to remove the existing and install the kit. This is a “dress-up” kit for aesthetics purposes, it won’t transform.

    Link to instruction videos:
    GCreation GDW01 Optimus Prime

All 3D printed in white and grey PLA filament as shown. $15 + $4.20 shipping (US).

    Thanks
    Please let me know

Hey that transformer_78 shoulder set is really good. It’s great quality, the instructions are clear and it improves UMs silhouette and articulation. I’d say if you like your Maxmas, treat him to one while they’re still around, as you get a lot more play value out of him.

But, note that UMs screws are black, tiny, deceptively similar for upper and lower shoulder but not the same size, and made of soft metal. Put each screw in a bottle cap or similar marked ”upper” and ”lower” respectively as you remove them, and go slow. Pre-tread the add on parts as instructed. The holes in these pieces are the perfect size, but you don’t want to use any force on the silly screws during the actual installation. Do -not- wing it with a slightly too small screwdriver like I did. I stripped the screw head on the upper part of the right shoulder like butter. It worked in the end but it was scary. And that is after losing it inside the figure, so pro tip is remove and re-install the screws low over a light coloured surface and make sure they don’t fall away.

Other than that, easy installation and fun feeling like Ratchet for a bit. I don’t have any pics of the installation process as I did it a while ago, but here’s a pic of the new range of movement:

You’re worth it, bunny bot. You really are.

Just a little side project I had some time to work on.....Prime’s face plate.

*I wanted to pronounce more of the recognizable features of Prime I felt were lacking with this figure.

-I wanted to bring out the face plate more, away from his nose and look thicker. Currently the nose and face plate are in-line/flush with one another lacking dimension.Made it flush with his forehead/helmet instead by adding layers of styrene over the face plate.

-molded the pike/tip to the top/center of his face plate using styrene and epoxy putty. Currently it was horizontal.

-fill-out and made the face plate wider by adding styrene to the side of the face plate. Currently it’s narrow/skinny, made his face look small to his body.

-and a little remolding of the chin/underside using epoxy putty.

*it’s hard to see the defining edges/lines due to the work/sculpting....but once it’s primed and painted these features will be more visible :)

    before comparison as mentioned above

Mini follow-up/update from my previous post:
    GCreation GDW01 Optimus Prime

Had a bit of time to finally spray on the primer. Aside from the masking tape...you can begin to see the definition/work on the resculpted, wider and more pronounced face plate better :) . Last thing to do is paint it sliver.
