Surprised we haven't heard any news regarding a repaint of this mold yet. Repaints for Cheetor and Primal were announced relatively soon after their releases.

They don't work like that. They can only be connected laterally (us that the right word) basically they cant be connected at right angles.

There was a good mix of genuine complaint and piling on in outrage and then an equal amount 'fanboy' excusing of TT for their error and 'haters' demonising them for an unintended mistake....as per usual the truth is somewhere in the middle. Thankfully mine didn't suffer the issue in so far as my ratchet held together, but i could see from the design how it could become an issue so applied e-Clip anyway just in case. There would definitely be less of an issue if TT had made the 'teeth' that lock the two ratchet joints together longer. I hope they make this improvement on any future reissues or repaint...and sort the out battery draining issue...mine certainly has that  

 

Ah I see. That’s kinda lame, but then I’m not sure why I assumed they could work that way.

 

Because it was sort of eluded to in the Designer interview?....Shocker! Everything they say isn't easy to interpret/gospel

Unless further stands include some way to do this I can't see it happening. I mean the stands are pretty ugly anyways...I'm still looking for a better option.

Ah cool, that makes more sense. They're only talking in 2 dimensions, then. Do you read Japanese oku? Or was this translated into Chinese somewhere too?

I can read some kanji, kana and basic grammar. And I happened to know what vertical in Japanese would be.

Just looking back at those pages with translations, there's something interesting that @Emperor Bruticus IV translated:

The base of the Raptor feet (I guess this means the ankles) were supposed to be ratcheted! I wonder what happened.

I was actually wondering if it’s another mistranslation. I know that EBIV uses a few different translating tools rather than being a straight up translator.

 

Regardless, those ankles really SHOULD be ratcheted. So if they originally planned it and then decided against it is extra frustrating.
