OK, let's take the gracious path....as Bobby said, embrace with love. I was fooled too, I paid in cash, no protections. I see many of my local Houstonians did it too. I know his wife and kids and know they are innocent and I know that by doing this we are doing the right thing to help the community. I would appreciate it if everyone here stopped spreading the disinformation that Jay and William are the same. I used to help him pick up stock in my truck, help distribute it to the south Houston area and I used take some payments for him that I always sent directly to distributors. I did not know he was taking 5-800 in venmo payments, FB payments and that he wasn't keep very good preorder records. But, now that I do know , I feel obligated to help. So , I will. But, not at warp speed, at a proper pace doing due diligence.

It is YOU that has not been reading much. Most of this thread for the past 1.5 years is about people getting scammed and other members on this board sharing their similar experiences because anytime a complaint was made public, Killinger and his buddies would shout people down.

The other thing I said was about Killinger committing fraud. Taking a person’s money for an order, keeping or spending that money with no intention to fulfill the order, that is fraud.

The guy took people’s money ahead of time and now they have to wait for his “tax returns” in order to get those items? Where’s the money he originally received for the money those products?

I hope people get their merchandise or recover funds from you but it does not cover up the fact that Killinger was conning people for their money and attacking them afterwards when they called him out.

He may not have started out that way but at some point he knew he could not deliver merchandise being ordered and yet, he continued to take in money from unsuspecting people. His website, which was working until recently, is a clear indication of his intentions.

 

Past customers and potential customers are allowed to comment on the situation you have put yourself in willingly.

I will keep an eye on this thread to see if you can dig yourself out of that hole.

If things work out I am always down to support another Texas shop and send folks your way.

But if you are going to stay on the passive aggressive asshole route. I wish you the best of luck with that path.

You sound much too busy and important to be wading into this situation. Your intentions are unknown. I'll assume they're good and tell you straight up that this endeavor simply might not be the right fit for you. It will require a good degree more meekness and humility if you truly want to turn around this situation and have any hope of gaining a fanbase. As it is, your best bet is to simply try to make right some of those who have been wronged. But in doing so, it is unlikely that will be enough to fulfill the perceived debt owed, which goes beyond the monetary and into the realm of trust. Amicability in communication could go a long way toward repairing that, and that just doesn't seem to be your forte. Best of luck, though.

We will be liquidating ALL items instock, then doing our best to take care of the oldest orders first, to new.
If you did a Waffle with GCI, those will be put on the back burner as the paid in full preorders take precedence. WE ARE IN NO WAY PAYING GCI TOYS DEBT, but are probono handling getting it back in shape, and being completely transparent about it. Hello, I did not want to introduce myself in this manner but it seems that there is a call to action that needs to take place. Let me start off by first saying, I am not here to preserve a legacy, or a name of an individual that man made bad decisions both in his personal life that reflected in his business life, but what I can tell you is that myself and Furranasleron are very close and very well-known members in the community outside of the tfw2005 boards. We have volunteered to step in and try to help, pro bono, not here to make any money, so we will offer full transparency of all actions to rectify the situation. I have been an active member in the Transformers Community for over 13 years, I know many many many people, both in business and personally that can can test to my ethics and as well as my partners. We will actively accept any reasonable communication with anybody from any board or any Facebook group about this situation. But in any given time we will not entertain accusations, threats, or mistreatment of myself or my partner because we are here trying to do a noble thing. Many people may feel that our stature in our personal life and what we have going on in our personal life makes us too busy and unavailable for this circumstance, but that is completely untrue, especially when there is Passion behind what we do and why we do it. In the coming weeks we will get the full scope of GCI toys business actions previous to the 22nd of March so that we may help in any way shape or form that we can. But under any circumstance are we liable for cash debt through PayPal venmo or any other way of purchase previous to the 22nd of March. Both myself and my partner we'll take any extra time that we have to make sure that this situation is corrected, and not to save a legacy or to make a ton of money, but to help the people because that is who matters the most. Because if it wasn't for the people GCI toys William killinger's Customs or any other entity attached to the associated name would be nothing.

you put yourself in a terrible situation. you stuck your feet into this pool. you decided to come here. you decided to get involved.

so don't blame us when we have expectations for this sinking ship. people have been long fucked over here. there's outstanding orders and missing money. since you jumped in on this trying to fix things you have to understand people have had problems going back years. you have to gain back trust while you try to fix these problems. if you weren't prepared for pissed off customers then you never should have gotten involved in this.

speaking for myself i don't care you're trying to play superdad and superhusband. i think it's safe to say most of us here are as well. your situation on that front isn't unique and your personal life has no impact on me right now. sorry....don't care. don't try to hit me sympathy points while you're gonna end things with a douchey comment like you did here. that is not going to convince me to give you the chance to do anything and it's not going to want me to wish you well. i don't care what you have the patience for. maybe this kind of thing isn't for you.

you got alot of work to do to change people's opinions and frankly i don't think you're off to a very good start. i expect better from the people i do business with. it's cute that you don't think you need to meet our standards...but ya kinda do need to do that.

i'm not sure what your future plans are after digging out of this pile of shit but if you are taking over for killinger...you need to up your standards if you want future business from people.

 

Thank you for the last sentence of kind words and I appreciate it. But in no way shape or form are we ill-prepared to help. In any given time in your life if you feel that you're unprepared to help someone or to help many people that feel they have had run doing done to them, then I don't know what to say other than we are here to help and we will try our best to make the situation right, we have many people behind us to make sure that in one way shape or another everyone is going to be taken care of.

 

i think you need to handle the "dealing with customers part" from here on out.

you seem a bit more even tempered and you seem genuine. like you actually want to do the right thing here. this is a mess of a situation and people like you are needed to ease the minds of people that have money or whatever tied up in this.

 

I'm just puzzled as to why anyone would step into this mess.

Cut ties, let it die. Get lawsuit going, make William pay for being a shitty person and shittier businessman. Everyone moves on. There's no shortage of certified and trustworthy TF sellers, nobody will miss GCI.

 

That is the aspect that does not make any sense. Why step into a situation for a business that, at best, was grossly mismanaged or at worst, was a front to scam people? I doubt that the assets of GCI can offset the debts incurred because if that was the case, Killinger would have done it a while ago. If there was any value in the brand, I’d understand but the name of GCI has no equity in it.

I am happy for anyone who has had their claims resolved but this move is entirely a head-scratcher for me.

 

STEP 1: Get taken for "thousands" of dollars by a friend/acquaintance who also used you as a go between with distributors. (RED FLAG)

STEP 2: Take over operations of the dumpster fire of a company while the person who took advantage of you retains ownership (and therefore rights to all income).

STEP 3: Show up to respond to skepticism on a popular community board and proceed to threaten victims/potential future customers that 'you won't put up with it'.

Sounds like a great idea.

 

Even Valeant wanted to rebrand themselves after their debacle. I think a smart person, even if they want to touch the current shitshow that is GCI, would be smart to just rename themselves and move forward, although they can make a FB announcement to retain the old clientele. I kind of knew William was not up to the challenge of running a business.

 

Very well put. Maybe business development in Houston is done differently. I recommend you take over Bernie Madoff Investment Securities for pro bono next, Superdad.
