Wow! They’ve been able to fulfill the orders of 3 whole people! The rest of the prepaid preorders have to wait for his tax returns? Nope, this doesn’t sound like Killinger was perpetrating a fraud.

 

As a business person, I can't understand why they are doing this. Are they just his buddies trying to fix his mess? Why are they trying to fix his brand for him?

If he's gone this far and doesn't actually have product, why not just shut it down? They are trying to do the right thing by fulfilling orders or processing refunds, but if it's such a dumpster fire that they've only filled 3 orders, what are they hoping to accomplish?

The previous sarcastic, snarky comments about the customers is pretty indicative that they aren't doing it out of respect for the customers, so what is the end goal here?

 

"Jay" is most likely just William, he's trying to prolong this because he's probably up to his eyeballs in debt and thinks if he makes good on a handful of orders then others will jump in and send him more money to keep himself afloat.

 

The new guys might have gotten conned also. Maybe they thought it was an easy fix until the opened the books.

I think Killinger could find himself facing criminal charges once this is clearer because there are years worth of preorders on some items.

No, Jay and Lance aren't William. For one thing, they are a different ethnicity. For another, I actually know (of) Jay.

But yeah. By the sound of it, he was also owed items he never received. And then William just gave up. Or something. I just can't shake this feeling that this is another fast one. That William has found two more patsys to take the fall for him. Why he didn't just close the doors, screw over everyone and walk away, I can't figure out. Is he planning to "repair" his name and start all over? Did he really just get in over his head and honestly wasn't smart enough to figure a way out? This is what happens when you mix your personal and business income. Nothing good.

I know they say this'll be a long process. But as long as William is ultimately calling the shots, I don't see a way to rebuild that trust.

But, what do I know? GCI has its fanboys who will fight to the death to defend its honor. Maybe that's who this publicity stunt is meant to appeal to.

This theory is likely your own concoction. I am a very much my own person. I don't have to help anyone out, you see I am out a grand or two because of this too, cash I handed to William as "prepays" because I too trusted him. I can pursue this personal and watch you guys all rend your clothing and curse the stars because he got us all good, or I can leverage my talents and abilities to help. So, like so many other trolls wanting to be little mini-Williams can the internet tough guy routine and work together to solve this.

I was able to fulfill 1/2 of one order and get two others out the door yesterday and will do my best to do more.

Well, if you are a business person let's talk. My field and focus is business management in executive leadership. I sit on an advisory board for an ethics and compliance consulting firm for healthcare and public policy. I Chair an Education program for a university and I present to the city of Houston on Business Development and Ethical Servant Leadership. Does this clarify for you?

I am doing the RIGHT thing because I too have skin in this game. In the end Lance and I are attempting to fix this and start something better. William was a troll and an ass, no doubt...I am not a troll nor an ass, but I do not have patience for nonsense. You might shutter s business because all you care about it the bottom line, Lance and I actually care about the customer base.

Only 3 orders because when I got the stock from William I spike a 103.9 temp that night from with flu like symptoms, trying to keep from getting my kids sick and failing on keeping it from my wife. Then, while playing superdad, superhusband, combing through stock, field 50+ messages, sorting stock, and trying to get access to official orders all the while trying to keep my primary job and online teaching gigs in line I got bogged down....so forgive me it I did not meet your standards.

The folly of a man whose intentions and actions are endlessly and continually foolish, and he continually chooses to place himself in that predicament. A penitent heart goes a long way, while harsh words about those you've wronged do nothing but destroy your path to peace.

Pride was, is, and will continue to be a big problem for Peniche and it's what's gotten him in the position he's in, now. If the distributors and manufacturers screwed him, then yes he needs help and I would never do business with them again, were I he. (BBTS has been dropping product lines and manufacturers for a reason they haven't made known, but we know 3rd party is rife with illicit minds while others are just lacking the ability to actually run a business because the first product is a dream come true and reality hasn't pinched them, yet.)

If it's mismanagement (which a good portion, but not all) then he needs to own it, come to the people and say "mistakes were made, we're trying to fix it" etc.

Instead, he would personally attack people in his group, attack people in general and when his buddies would join in on it, he didn't step in and stop them. That's not how one runs a business. I understand that a transaction ends when you give your money and the other party gives you your stuff. There's a bit more to it than that, though... There's service after the sale, there's politeness, there's decency. It also helps to remember that without the customers, your business cannot operate or grow. YOU need THEIR money to make this an actual rather than a possibility.

And then having people such as Jay come here and actually attacking people in this thread and telling them to kick rocks is tantamount to not learning any lesson and further proves nothing is being learned here, no remorse is being felt and no one's actually coming here with an apology. An open heart works better than an open hand across the face and Jay's mean-spirited posts are the needless slap.

How hard is it to admit a mistake and ask for patience and forgiveness with kindness and respect? Fix it, if you can, but be gracious about it. These people haven't done anything wrong, they don't deserve to be kicked around because they're rightfully voicing their anger and disdain with Peniche and this situation in which people are out a considerable amount of money. And Jay, you should learn a thing or two from this situation, don't be like William and don't rattle cages. You're coming with vinegar when honey would work best. Heck, you're not even trying an artificial sweetener at this point.

I suggest you re-read the post and the entire sentence instead of the soundbite that fits your agenda. If me saying "take that nonsense elsewhere" is attacking sir, I also have some literature for you to read. Much of this thread is a "Jay is just William in disguise" or "Jay is perpetrating a scam" I will kick those lies down every day and help those who are genuine.
