That is very impressive! It sucks to hear that the clear red cassette might turn out to be just as big of a pain to find as HS03H currently is. I'm so aiming to get all of these figures alongside the cassettes; your collection there is my goal!

Finally got this guy a couple of days ago and I absolutely love him! He definitely has his limitations, but even though I can say that DX9's Sonic Wizard is objectively the better toy, I far prefer Soundtrack. He's such a great looking, fun little guy!



Unfortunately, mine didn't come with either of the transparent Laser Bird variants. Really hoping I can find them somewhere. If anyone's looking to part with theirs, hit me up!

 

I'm really surprised we haven't seen a "cassettes only" release of Mech Planet. They have to know it would go like wildfire. I know I'd buy it. Then again, I guess they're betting on everyone buying every Soundwave they release in order to get the different cassettes.

 

Wish they would reissue this guy with bicep swivels...

 

And ankle tilt... and waist swivel..

Yeah this was the first item I picked up from Mech Planet, the second 3p Legends figure in my collection! He was cool until I got Sonic Wizard; The HS version was too big for my tastes, bigger than my City Commander figure and THS Convoy... He made a great Christmas present for my buddy's son. This was a great figure that just had too many shortcomings for me to be satisfied. But, I am glad that people dig on it, and MechPlanet has continued to produce good stuff.

 

Despite its shortcomings, still one of my favorite Legends figures. Aside from a short break he's been a permanent resident on my desk at work. He just has an amazing presence.

 

For sure. He's a fantastic figure. I just wish I could surround him in cassettes without having four iterations of him.

 

I definitely like this Soundwave over the DX9 version, but I much prefer the DX9's tapes over this guy's.  

 

This figure was fine when i started collecting legends, but with the increasing quality in newer releases it really starts to feel very dated and sub par.
The worst problem is the lack of ankle rocker, as it has quite some issues standing in a nice A pose, I really wish MFT or someone else make an upgraded version of it in the same scale

 

I can't find my orinigal post but the clear red Laserbeak was an Uncle Billy exclusive and only came with the first run. I got clear blue included in my clear version.

 

Looks great I need to sticker mine up!

 

HS is my legends soundwave as far as I am concerned. So until he is updated by either HS or MFT he will remain the backbone of my collection.

He is just that great in my eyes.
