I caved and ordered a set tonight for 280$ less 8% Ebay bucks gets me to $257.60
Retail for me would have 212$, so it's a 45$ difference or 6$ a figure extra....

Look at me with all this math and justifying the purchase. I'll admit it, I'm a plastic junkie and needed these turtles badly since I was foolish and sold my figuarts set.......

And with sales tax, I'm sure that $212 would have gone up to at least $225...if that makes you feel any better! What you paid doesn't sound like a bad deal at all, especially considering how much time you would have blown hunting them down. Glad you finally secured them.

They are 3D prints of my own concoction...they look to me like something you might find in a sewer...could use some extra little touches, though.

Damn straight he is. The shape of that hand is actually perfect for typing, eating pizza, poking eyes, fingerbanging and flying the bird! Those crazy NECA people...

NECA should do a solid and make 7"
    • Tatsu
    • Tokka
    • Razor
    • April
    • Splinter
    • Casey Jones
    • Foot Clan
However given Playmates block licensing and whatever it'll probably take up to 27 years for this to happen.

I won't miss out on these guys a second time...

Preordered from an online retailer here in NZ, but I request that nobody ask how much I'm looking at paying :lol .

@ShawnBerger4Mayor1985 also informed me of the upcoming release of Bebop and Rocksteady, so I'm jumping right on in.

Here's hoping there might be an April O'Neil + Splinter two-pack in future...

I'll only ever go as far as picking up suitable items from the original toon, but I love how expressive the different releases are. Nice pics @fschuler - and that table and chairs you printed??

Thanks, man. The expressions on these guys' faces are priceless and the posing scenarios are endless.

I came up with a really simple 3D-printable design for the table and chairs, printed them, glued them together and painted them. They aren't the most user-friendly designs (gluing is required...sanding/grinding/cutting is required...hole-drilling is required...barbecue skewers are required...etc.) but I think they get the job done. If there is enough interest from you guys, I will revise the designs to make them a little simpler to assemble and put them on Thingiverse/Shapeways for free download/purchase, respectively.

For all that it took to assemble them, they look fantastic. I've never used Shapeways (nor heard of Thingiverse until now haha), but I might be keen down the track - once I get the sets in early September... :(  :(

Thanks, man. I probably spent an hour and a half cleaning up, assembling and painting each piece. None of it was really difficult...just a little tedious. But I'm an impatient bastard. They also feature a genuine wood-grain texture, which I'm kind of proud of.

Do you have access to a 3D printer?? Shapeways can be pretty expensive. I wouldn't be surprised if it cost $40 or more to have the set produced by Shapeways...not to mention the shipping cost to NZ. If you have or get access to a 3D printer, Thingiverse will quickly become one of your best friends (it amazes me how much crazy stuff you can download from there for free).

Hmmm, it sounds like it may be worth looking into a 3D Printer at some point...any recommendations?

The wood grain effect is definitely impressive - same goes for the woven seat covers themselves.

I hope they do rahzar and tokka in the large scale , to go with the four big movie turtles.
I don't care for the large shredder or foot at all, pass on them but would buy same ones in 6".
Tatsu's a pretty nothing generic character so I don't want a figure of him - but I can others wanting one plus he's played by a well known actor so some non-tmnt fans might even want one at 6-7"

Here's hoping after they are done with movie #1 license, that they are able to get the license for movie#2 and make figures for that, no matter how long it takes.
It's not like they don't want to, and it's a shame that NECA get limited so much with what they can do by the various license holders.

^These guys are soooo money, I love the old-school thick paint apps and the cell shading from front to back.....

What they lack in articulation compared to the figuarts, they more than make up for in the paint and toon aesthetic........

Looks like Targets are doing restocks, I was finally able to pick up the Krang/Donnie and foot soldier/Ralph sets I needed. I know this is a restock because this is my local store and about a month ago this is where I found the other two sets. I went back a day later and all of it was gone....until today. This was in Cleveland, Tn, so don’t give up hope or give into Evilbay scalpers.
