I have Combiner Wars Sky Lynx. Did the reverse-foot mod. Considering a 3P legends version would likely be a hundred+, and I bought mine for $13 at a Ross a couple of years ago, I'm pretty good for now. But, it's not a bad idea...
Probably don’t need one. There’s the Hasbro version that was released as part of Sky Reign and then there’s the Mastermind Creations 3rd party option. Both are larger than normal scale legends figures, so would fit into a collection (like mine does)
I would love to sell my CHUG collection of IDW figures and go all in on Iron Factory, but they're not leaning as hard into IDW as MMC has been. No Rodimus, Thunderclash, Nickel, The Pet, Drift, or MTMTE-accurate Megatron yet.
More femmes... specifically a wider variety of femmes that have the same 'cartoon/comic' aesthetic that the other legends do The guys don't look super manga/chibi faced, why do the femmes? outside of that, maybe some Victory characters or the like ^^
I'm still wanting my IF-styled combiner cutesy Victorion. Or any Victorion for that matter. ....are any existing Legends combiners cross compatible with each other Scramblecore style? If not, then that too!!
This topic again.. Let's see if I can remember what I wanted last time.. (I favor Iron Factory, so all figures in that vein most likely) Combiners, all of them. Cybertronian alt modes preferred (see DW War Within, IDW for examples) Pipe dream = Scramble city Pretenders, inner robot legends scale. Pretender figure deluxe to voyager in size. Micromasters (Countdown was teased before Legends took off, and was shelved due to lack of interest) Gobots Scavengers Wreckers RiD Scourge More G2 bots and cons. (G2 Tank Megatron, Jhiaxus, etc) After that, anything goes. Transmetal Beast Wars, Armada Optimus combined with Jetfire and Overload, hell do the RescueBots.
Computron/abominus. They’ve never been done right in any size. But iron factory is doing some amazing things in a tiny and affordable scale. It’s almost hard to understand why it’s easier to nail something at legends scale when the MPs’ size is what’s supposed to allow for the perfect detail... but IF Tarn is a more of a ringer than Mmc Reformatted Tarn. I got tired of looking for ft10 Phoenix so I just ordered IF Skyfire, which to me is equal in looks, massive win in price, and a win in posability, FT10 can’t do much legwise other than stand there.
Iron Factory to reissue all the stuff that new fans missed out on (datsun bros, starscream, dinobots, etc.)
How is Cliffjumper not at the top of everyone's list? He has yet to get an acceptable Legends-class take from 3p or Hasbro. Hot Soldiers version sucks and forces you to buy Hubcap. And for some reason, the Titans Return Bumblebee mold was reused as Roadburn instead. This is a no-brainer to me. He's a prominent G1 cast-member. Original Ark crew. Was just in the Bee Movie with a memorable scene and a figure would fit both Legends and CHUG filling a void that has remained open for a very long time.
I didn't list him because we'll be getting two more of him in the next year or so - both New Age and Magic Square are doing the whole Ark crew. And there's a Cliffjumper about to be released by Iron Factory within a matter of weeks (IDW version).
I'm very new to legends (made my first order the other day), so I'm not 100% clear on what has been released/announced. But once the core cast is done, I'd like to see standardized versions of characters from other media. Knock Out, Breakdown, Airachnid, Hardhsell Bulkhead, Lugnut, Lockdown Blackout, Barricade, Brawl, Bonecrusher Oh, and Seacons. I'd reeeeeeally like some modern Seacons, but I don't "MP" want them.
Check this post out when you get a chance. It should give you an idea of what's out and not. 3rd Party Legends Master Thread Also, I like your selection of figures.
Thanks! I've been searching through all the Legends threads I can find for the past few days, and I definitely have that one bookmarked.
Yes, this would be nice. Would love a G1 style SkyLynx the same size as the CW version. I think that would be a good scale for legends. Other than that, I'd like the full '84-'86 cast. I want a Blaster the same size as HS Soundwave (that doesn't look like crap like the Mister Moon version). I'd like a better version of Arcee (IF is great but I'd like a G1 version, and DX9's is kind of meh looking). I want all the carbots done in NA's scale and all the larger bots done in MFT's scale. I'd like a better version of Megatron in MFT scale (possible an upscale of NA's if it turns out as good as that prototype looks: that thing looks amazing). Most of the post 86 bots are trash. Generic looking robots that fold up until they look like generic robots in vaguely vehicle shapes with wings and wheels slapped on and called "sci-fi" cars and planes. There are exceptions but for the most part any character that came after the movie and that didn't have a real world alt mode was just boring and generic looking. Contrast those with the classic Datsun design, Jazz, Hound, Wheeljack, the seekers, Soundwave, the dinobots... I could go on and on. These are beautiful designs and even the G1 figures of many of them still look good today while I can't think of a single post movie G1 bot I would want to display... ok, that's not true, G1 SkyLynx is pretty damn cool looking but then he has a real world alt mode. And this despite the fact that I actually got to a late start on transformers as a kid - I missed almost all of season one and two and started on the comics in the headmaster's era (had to scrounge up as many back issues as I could find in yard sales and from friends).
