Yeah, he does look pretty great. It's just a shame that MFT makes their carbots so big. I'll have to wait for NA to make one.

I dunno'. I might get him anyway since it's such a good design. But it won't fit anywhere. I'm going to need to start a separate collection for all these well designed but out of scale figures.

He looks awesome. Do we know how big these are going to be compared to MS? I'm hoping that they'll be about MS carbot height but I know this is probably not going to happen due to the size of their Huffer/Pipes mold.

He'll be easily bigger than the MS carbot height.

Are the height differences between MS and MFT pretty uniform? Does anybody have both versions of Huffer or both Cyclonuseseses that they could stand side by side?

it's literally all i'm thinking about right now

EDIT: he looks like he should be able to seat diaclone pilots. there looks to be a gap for the feet to slip in so they can sit. since he's got an open top i see no reason why he couldn't. i just want proof.

No joke! At some point, some of these products they've been teasing over the last 6 months actually have to come out, right? RIGHT?!

    Should be about 9cm.

I’m not sure where the negativity is coming from on MFT car bots since they have yet to release one. As we’ve covered, Huffer and Pipes are releases meant for Hasbro Legends displays, and fit well with other Legends+ offerings.

Sideswipe, Red Alert, Hound, Tracks will all scale with each other as much as possible.

Swerve and Gears will again fit better with Hasbro releases.

I've seen a few people say that about Huffer and Pipes but what's the source? Doesn't make sense that they'd just randomly make a mold in the same line that isn't meant to go with that line. Also, their Reflector, Kup, and Springer are too big to be in scale as well. It's weird 'cuz they nailed the relative heights of Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus and they're scaled perfectly to Hot Soldiers Soundwave and Optimus (their dinobots are pretty good as well, though they could stand to be half a head shorter). Why do they think the smaller bots should be so big? Oh and they did Devastator without upscaling him for some reason.

    Reflector is fine.

Springer is either a hulking size similar to Ultra Magnus or slightly taller than a car bot depending on what sources you’re looking at.

Kup, Hot Rod, Arcee are all slightly taller than the original cast.

The bottom line is choose whatever scale you prefer, because there is nothing but a very loose, rarely adhered to scale present in the bulk of G1 animation.

My display is becoming a mix of many different companies to achieve that.

I’m waiting on a MFT/Mechanic Studio carbot to make an official decision on what direction I go as a full in G1 collection. They’re losing my interest the longer they take to release the carbots.

MFT doesn't make stuff to scale though. Lost cause. I consider them a good backfill for missing characters in the HasTak lines at this point, and I'm salty about it because everything they make is economical, and most of it looks great.

Their Astrotrain's going in my Legends ranks regardless of size, though. He's a Space Shuttle and a train engine. He can be huge, gray, purple and glorious.

Still waiting on Sideswipe here. I know it's ready to go MFT, stop making me wait!
As for minibots size, I guess it depends on how mini you want them to be. I've used MFT's offerings to fill the gaps in the Hasbro line up. I think they go well with my legends + autobots. Not that I have that many, which is why I want Sideswipe NOW!!!! :lol

I'd definitely like to see how some of the MFT carbots scale with some of the figures I have. So I hope some of you order them when they are finally released and take plenty of photos of them with some MST, DX9 and Iron Factory figures. ;)

I mix and match as I wish. The scale was, as others said, never clear. Some characters looked massive in one scene and average in the next. I got an MFT Shockwave today. I had seen enough pictures of him to feel like he'd go okay with my Iron Factory Megatron. He's a hair taller but my mental image of Shockwave has always been a lumbering evil genius. The MP KO I have for Shockwave looks way too petite for my taste for the character. This one feels about right. He'll definitely do for now. I guess there's an off chance MST comes along later and releases one that I decide is superior but right now I'm good with him.
