Was the deleted opening longer than the clip we saw?I understand that it's a monologue by Bumblebee but we only got a couple of words in that clip.

 

Yes, it's longer. He talks about how he was sent to Earth to help humans and to protect them. For whatever reason, now the humans are hunting Bumblebee. It sets up a different narrative than what Optimus told Bee to go to Earth for in the final cut.

Is the alternate ending with Megatron one of the deleted scenes?

I don't know why people are getting so excited about those alt mode lists. As McFeely said, they're pretty awkward copy and pastes. They're not even consistent, what with Ratchet not listing his one and Soundwave not listing either of his movie alternate forms whereas Arcee, Ravage and Ironhide do (Ravage's was shot out of Soundwave's satellite mode FFS!)... as well as Ironhide specifically referring to the make of his movie alternate mode whereas Starscream and Arcee do not... they're pretty shit.

Then why do people report seeing the Megatron scene in the preview screenings for Bumblebee

I found a video they posted with some, not all, of the character models rotating 360°.

 

The Happenin Rhinoceros got the scene wrong, he thought they were talking about Megatron in the Cybertron scene, which got cut very early on, when people are actually talking the Megatron scene at S7 which was featured in the "Bayverse" cut of the film

 

Yup, what @eagc7 said...I didn't realize there was another scene with S7. Maybe wishful thinking on my part since I'd much rather have the intro scene that Knight talked about, lol

 

I don't particularly see why you're so quick at jumping to defense from every opposing argument, give it a rest would you? It's not like - oh, I don't know - a majority of the forum users are in agreement with you anyway. Why does everyone need to argue about this? Apologies for the abhorrent crime of maybe not liking these designs, which (to add) I find look very dull and dare I say silly (mainly in the case of Brawn - but all of the proportions are off...)
