next update is motormaster's robot mode. After that, the trailer's base mode. Then Menasor himself. I figure I will take some close shots of the joints, but you can already see the joints on the top of the cab of wildrider, you will see the pegholes on MM's arms, and you've seen the revoltech joints on both deadend and dragstrip.

After doing a bit of researching on the Stunticons (I didn't grow up with G1, so I like to catch up on what I missed), I thought of something: will each of the limbs (Dead End, Wildrider, Breakdown and Drag Strip) be able to form both an arm AND a leg?

unfortunately, no. you can swap left for right, and right for left, but you can't swap the limb TYPEs. The orginal combiner in G1 used their simple square heads for the pegging system. Obviously with classics, they're not build that way and you would need a large cavity to fit one of their heads into, plus you would lose having a knee joint without extreme modification this way. For the record, when I was first in the planning stages of this project, I had estimated that it would be nearly as tall as MP-01. I was wrong. :D  Turns out, Its as tall as Primus, and when I say that, I mean as tall as the planet-shells on his back, not just his head!

I'm going to go ahead and post tonight's update early today because I'm heading out for the rest of the day to see some family, and won't be back till sometime tomorrow. So I hope you guys enjoy Motormaster! Besides the obvious head-swap, the forearms are modified as well. Putty to extend the square-shaped molding, and then a second hold inserted in it. This is where the combiner arms connect. Oh, and the head is fully articulated now too. Prime's head is simply riveted on, so you only have side-to-side swivel. I cut a hole and added a balljoint.

The head turned out way better than I thought it would. Nice blend of show and toy designs!

I'm surprised how different he looks from Optimus Prime.:thumb

That looks pretty nice. I'm not a big fan of that particular head, but you made it come out better than I would've thought.

Unless you were specifically looking for the peg holes on the arms, you wouldn't see them, good job!

(then again I'm not wearing my glasses atm, haha)

Another awesome bot. Roll on Tuesday :D

Hasbro? Yeah, I'll buy these repaint/head retools.

    Seriously.

    Make it happen.

Universe Wave 1: Sideswipe & Sunstreaker, Octane, Jazz, Ironhide, and Menasor.

    Do it.

    Now.

    Or...fall of 2008.

    But, do it.

    Then.

Damn I wish we'd of gotten a MM like that instead of Ultra Craptimus.

Here's the thing: if he posted all the pics at once, we'd have nothing to look forward to. It's like Christmas (or Hannukah, I'm not picky. BTW, do people get Kwanzaa presents?) the anticipation is part of the fun, plus these repaints look hella sweet! Great work, Redline!
It's because of great customs like this that I am inspired to tweak and modify my figures into something awesome. Remember, it also took God a week to create the Universe (well, 6 days, but if you created the freakin' universe, you deserve Sunday off).

wow. Thanks for the responses and feedback guys :D  I really appreciate it! I may have to make myself 2 more MMs, just so I can have one in each of his modes at the same time cause I love all of his forms :lol

Ok, here's the trailer base. The original MM could not just be a robot and a semi and a torso, but also a base, to further drive-home his similarities with Optimus Prime. As part of the whole Scramble-city gimmick, he could even be combined with any of the City-formers such as Metroplex or Trypticon to extend out their base modes. With that in mind, I wanted to make the trailer for my Classics MM also turn into a base. I thought it would be awesome to homage not just the original base, but that it could do the whole Scramble City aspect too. I hope you guys think I succeeded. :)  There's a couple of things that I really got excited to do when their ideas first popped in my head, lets see if anyone notices them!
