A Bee and Prime buddy flick, with Optimus in the role of Roger Murtaugh.

I want to hear Optimus say "I'm too old for this shit"

Dang now there’s a good point it’s probably a bit late for me to come to this realization, but I’m starting to think that Lorenzo is all business and no heart. Kinda like a certain President

Are you kidding? One of the best things about the prequels was watching Obi-wan in full flight.

Agreed ewan mcgregor‘s portrayal was sometimes the only believeable thing that kept me interested during the prequels

Ops needs a break. Am overwhelmed by Optimus figs at the moment.
Really want to see the 84-85 G1 characters fleshed out more on their homeworld.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who had this thought. As soon as I read the comparison, a sound clip of Prime saying the line popped into my head.

At this point, the franchise has kind of become the Bond movies of the Transformers world, hasn't it? I'm waiting for someone to say Idris Elba should play the next Optimus Prime. Heck, what am I saying? Idris Elba can play anything. That's a bad example.

Oh and Terry Crews should be his evil counterpart.

Okay I don't know where I was going with this, if only to say I don't understand Hollyweird, haven't since 2007, and probably never will where this movie franchise is concerned.

The Michael Bay movies weren't very good. What's so hard to explain?

"we're making all the movies! You want more movies? We'll have... Seven in production. Oh you don't want seven? Forget I said that. I meant two. Three? Four?

They're going to have all the things you like, and if someone else tells me they don't like those things, thats fine, they'll have all the things that person likes as well. They're going to be soft reboot, retcon, prequel, sequel, hard reboot, character-focused, and commentary pieces all at once! They're going to have more autobots and a small, tightly focused cast, and we're going to answer all the questions you had in the previous movies while we take you into new and unexpected directions!'

Honestly, it sounds like he's just trying to describe the movies as all things to all people nowadays. Like, he either has no vision of his own, or he's terrified the film franchise might be described as having one, and thus alienate someone who might pay to see it. I dunno, maybe he got used to just making films that were profitable regardless of what people said about them, and is in a strange new frontier now that that's no longer the case.

I honestly get the feeling he doesn't have a single clue about any actual aspect of the production outside of he's got his name attached to it. Somehow that's enough that whatever random thought he has at any given moment is what he says, regardless if it bears any resemblance to reality or not. He's a first class bullshitter in a first class bullshitter position but he forgot that the best bullshitters ground their bullshit with tiny seeds of truth interspersed among the ridiculous speculative stupidity. Somewhere along the line, he lost the plot, but he just keeps talking anyway.

He must have some seriously heavily locked in contracts or Hasbro would most likely shut him the hell up. Every time he talks he makes the waters murkier and the vision less clear.

If this is going to be a buddy cop movie in the style of Lethal Weapon and Bee is "Roger" that means Prime is going to need something to be redeemed and it's Bee that gives the push to carry on.

Also Swindle needs to play the TF Version of Mr. Joshua - even get Gary Busey to voice him.

I don't think Lorenzo is good for PR. Maybe he means well but doesn't realize he's just saying all the wrong things.
