Perhaps, but being enormous is a significant part of the point for a Star Convoy.

I can live without the Winnebago Overhang in the alt mode, but it's not ideal.

...and I'm significantly more willing to overlook that lack if this is a pretool of something interesting like Megatron Origin Sentinel Prime (though that had better be a Headmaster, or I will go all Prowl on ALL the tables).

True but from the sounds of it he's going to be much bigger than the original, which feels kinda unnecessary.

 

Azalea's car mode is tiny.

 

The way the sides are, I'm surprised they didn't go further and give him some extra boosters on the side with small wings. And add on guns to the front section to match the one up top but shorter and double barreled. Take a look at the side of it in Altmode its almost made for something to slot in on those sides. Then they could make those parts form some extra back cannon jump pack, and fit over that blocky back. I say keep going. Go Big! Add that on to this, and it'll feel more beefy and still badass. But I fell like the vehicle mode is suffering. I'll do a crude render to explain what I'm thinking soon.

He is suppose to be treated like Super Ginrai was. It's an ultra huge ultra powerful version of Optimus. He did have a base mode and connect to another guy that was himself a mobile base. I'd say mmc's chosen size works well with modern masterpieces considering MP10 is 9.5 inches n all.

Honestly, if they could only alter the sides or the cab. I'd rather they changed the cab. The sides are a minor annoyance. The cab makes it not look anything like Star Convoy.

 

I really like what I see so far, it looks chunky, simple and fun. I would prefer it to be smaller but size isn't going to be a factor in whether or not I buy it. Really hope it comes with a mini Hot Rod.

 

When I look at the alt mode I don't know what I see, but I'm sure it isn't Star Convoy alt mode and it's a shame because I was waiting for an MP of him.
