I’m sure many will disagree.. but I think making Dropkick and Shatter triple changers was unnecessary and I wish they just sticked with one of either mode.

The fact it will be impossible to make fully accurate triple changing toys of them makes it difficult for me to bring myself to like any of their toys as none will be able to even remotely replicate the in-film designs. Sure, Car Dropkick and Shatter look accurate, but they’re still missing the chopper parts, and their car-only forms look bland tbh.

It’s a shame because I LOVED them, great villains with fun personality, but stuck with toys that fail to live up to their coolness just like Lockdown for 4 years until SS. If they just sticked to being cars or only scanned jets we would’ve avoided this mess.

 

Well, I actually agree with that! The designs would've been more cleaner (If that makes sense) and the toys would substantially be better than the ones we have now.

 

I agree with you, I prefer the original movie designs. "Dull" is also what I thought about the movie in general compared to the first five. I would have liked more action, less friendship stuff. They already did a Bumblebee/ human buddy movie with the first TF movie.

That's a good point, I don't recall them using the car modes for anything but transportation, which can be done with their flight modes. The flight modes, however, played big parts in the final battle.

 

The others characters would have Bayverse designs with G1 like Bee.

 

But Brawn didn't die. He's seen entering an escape pod. Plus, why would a simple blast to the shoulder kill BRAWN of all people? (Except for that one time.

 

Well... the killing got more creative in Bumblebee. Instead of just shooting or cutting of the head we got a decepticon with a missile ripped out of his own arm, bissected autobot, decepticon ripped apart by a a chain and a decepticon crushed by a ship.

I do have to admit that I miss some of the bayverse designs. They could very exotic. Besides there were already a few designs in the Bayverse that would have no real trouble fitting in Bumblebee.
A few examples (just my opinion)
Jazz: maybe outside his color scheme and claw hands his design wasn't too cluttered
Dino: instantly recognisable. Dropkick's head even looks like his.
Nitro Zeus: his design wouldn't be bad for a cybertron mode I think.

And that's about it

 

Yes, I did like the way Bee took out the Decepticons.
I think all of the Bay designs could fit in. The characters on Cybertron looked more G1, but the main characters on earth looked more Bayish to me. It bridges a gap between the styles.

 

To improve Bumblebee, 1st is the creative and longer action sequences, 2nd is the special weapon on each Transformers, 3rd is to decrease the humor and makes it more serious.

For me, I suggest that
1) Budget around 150-200 million
2) Runtime around 140 minutes
3) Each Transformers got few unique weapon system and more destructive (Plasma cannon, sonic boom, laser, invisible protecting shield, flame, electromagnetic weapon, rail gun etc)
4) Introduce Combiner like Bruticus/ Menasor or Superion (Each member of Combiner only combine when they can't defeat by other fraction of Transformers/Government Military)
5) Hired a great action director like Guilermo Deltoro /Doug Liman /James Wan/ James Gunn/ Louis Letterier etc.
6) More on each Transformers character (with name) development rather than unknown robots that's die within a second.
7) Ignore unnecessary Earth/Cybertron destruction and Alien Jet that cause a lot of budget. Especially those Alien Jet, I meant they are Transformers, no need to drive any plane actually, they could Transform to jet by themselves.
8) Focus on Transformers more than any human character. Etc like Bumblebee, why I feels like this is just telling the girl story? That's kind of boring actually.

 

So make a totally different movie both tonally and thematically? You realise that’s what this is right? You’re not improving Bumblebee, you’re outlining a wholly different and complete movie.

Also Louie Letterier? Will that be before or after he’s finished having the stench of Batman v Superman exorcised from his soul?

 

I think that his battle mask also should have changed into a more aggressive decepticon-like face.

 

That's... even worse...

 

Yeah, I thought the battle mask was perfect.

 

Ok, maybe not like a decepticon face, but maybe the side bits become more angled, and the eye/glass bits get smaller, making it look more like a medieval warriors, get in there and fight style face protection.

Bumblebee doesn't kill Shatter at the end, instead he just seriously wounds her and sector seven take her away. It would set her up for a return as a barricade like figure and full rival to bee

 

That wouldn't be terrible.

 

What would she change her altmode to I wonder...

Modern day maybe a 2018 Dodge Demon or Challenger Scat Pack?

 

Bumblebee was a great stand alone movie. Nothing to make better. I want more stand alone movies like this. I wouldn't mind having another movie focused on someone like jazz, but actually have him show more interaction with his team and also show more of what the cons are up to. Just like the cartoon. No human side plot. You can use humans but I want to Identify with the robots on screen and not the humans.
